@@danielboone8435 I don’t think the mayor wanted people drinking beer on Sunday at the community center, but that’s just my take… having grown up in rural Arkansas. They love some blue laws in that neck of the woods.
@@williamthomas4617 I don't think people were drinking beer at the community center. Where I'm from that's called drunk in public and it's an arrestable offense. We can draw certain conclusions from the fact that nobody was charged witha crime.
Surprised at all the female mayors that are in these positions and hurting the communities. I know this was two months ago but look at Lake Lure’s mayor. Same thing.
Umm, LEOs dance for the one who hired them…their true allegiance is to their fellow ThinBlueLyin’ Gang members then the person who signs their paychecks. The Citizens are just nuisances to them who they get the added bonus of bossing-around for sport!
I agree. Did you know if you're a resident of the city and buy something out of state with a cc, that city collects tax. That's effed up. The city has nothing to do with that purchase. I can see it within the physical city, maybe within the state, but online outside the state.... that's effed
Serving food on city property makes the city liable for food temperature code violations need permits for those...i understand the frustration when it's just food but proper channels need to be involved
@polynesia8733 Community/Public property facilitating volunteers sustaining community citizens' lives post destructive hurricane disaster was closed down due to one heartless individual's power to say shut it down, while others condon the decision to let the community suffer due to the lack of standards. How does technology explode while intellectuality disappears ???
The mayor and her wig look casket ready, she’s tired. And this CHIEF??? Him his sorry attitude and tired ill fitting uniform don’t belong in Bayou Vista, a small community coming together after all they are still going through the least the Mayor could have done was take that twisted HOT wig off,… put on a sun hat and show up for THE PEOPLE with a few cases of water. This is sickening and it’s time for a vote
Exactly, well, I have news that 2:31 they investigated his weight and found nothing wrong he is at the peak of his physical condition. He can run a marathon in record time. 😂
Its a power issue. When I lived in GA the big counties have county police and S.O. The county commissioners can't tell a sheriff what to do, but they can tell the chief of police what to do.
I cringe when I see a police chief with general's stars on his shirt collar. I understand, say, with a city the size of Houston, you have thousands of officers and millions of residents, but in the case of Bayou Vista-with less than 5k in population, any military insignia, should be a colonel (eagle), or even less.
Let's be real. All he needs are some cowboy boots, aviator shades and a trucker hat... No need to bring military structure into that PO dunk, 1 horse town.
Way out of line. Leadership is responsible for maintaining emotional peace. He failed and the mayor failed. This story will hit TMZ. And should. Overreach issues
What's happening to Texas? We use to be kind, caring and there for our citizens. I guess they gave kindness, charity and unity the boot. During a great time of need, an act of kindness dismantled by tyrants. No compassion from those leaders when it is most needed, closed hearts in action.
I have been told by MAGA that since 2016 they have made Texas into their White National Christian "paradise". Such a "paradise" can ONLY be built on hate.
😮. Not without asking. How would you like me to bring some food and a kegger with 100 people into your yard without your permission? Then, they come into your house and use your bathroom and whatever else🤔. Comprende?😂
It is not wise to play games with people when they are HUNGRY and desperate Ms. Mayor. A “well fed” cop is not a good look for the world to see is it ?
Water and power are basic necessities - they shouldn't be dependent on whether one can pay. Food and medicine shouldn't be taxed, either. Nor should income be taxed - the supreme court had already ruled that a man's industry is his own and can't be. Taxed - LONG before the IRS and books upon books of tax law.
unlawful orders are unlawful. Mayor or not, unless having a BBQ at the rec center is illegal...the police chief should have told the mayor to pound sand.
That Mayor and Chief should be given the opportunity to provide their inept and unprofessional behavior somewhere else. The excuse of "we were in a state of emergency" is more reason to have food available to those that need it not a reason to pack up and leave.
Look at the "Mayor" hiding. Shaking inside her office afraid to comment on her ignorant actions. I for one am sick of unaccountable officials. Time to hold them accountable.
Wow he’s a complete DISGRACE to that BADGE. An you can see that the Mayor is a complete DISGRACE to that town and a COWARD. They both need to be fired. How pathetic that they are having a BBQ to help others as well as lift up morale of the people. Instead your got Debby Downer an ego fed cop. You two should feel ashamed. 🤬🤯
Didn't cost the town anything, so the "mayor" should've been happy. Seems like she is a bitter old hag, and the "chief" should've worried about his OATH. Too many cops do the "just following orders" thing, instead of doing what's right
Disgrace to law enforcement. He has zero shame about his disgusting actions. This is America you tub of lard, we have freedoms and we help our neighbors.
It isn't up to the mayor...a community gathering in a community center?! Nope - mayor doesn't dictate where the public gathers in a public space they themselves paid for... no wonder the mayor has no comment - this looks pretty bad...
Recommend tgat Tourists stay away from Bayou Vista, TX. It's a shame but until the get a new mayor & police chief who's going to correctly and professionally communicate & interact with thier public at large
L.A. Sheriff speaks out after 4 suspected deputy suicides in 24 hours Story by Josh DuBose • 8mo After three active-duty personnel and one retired member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department died by suspected suicides in a 24-hour span last week, sending “shockwaves of emotions” through the local law enforcement community, Sheriff Robert Luna is speaking openly about the need for mental health treatment among his ranks and an education in law enforcement! And not just 21 hours of handling a gun!
How hard would it have been to go over there and have a cordial conversation with them. Explain to them the mayor said no but help them to find another place. Dont go over there with an attitude and get in a pissing contest with people. You're making yourself look bad and then it reflects on the other officers. Its not rocket science.
