Caught the Sarnia CSX local down in Wallaceburg. Oct 29 2010

I went with Myles on friday and we caught up with the CSX Sarnia local headed down to Wallaceburg and then to Tupperville to switch a couple grain hoppers.
CSX 2690 (GP38-2) heads down from Sarnia thru Wallaceburg, over the swing bridge and on to Tupperville. The last shot is of it crossing over one of the rivers on its way back to Sarnia.

I live at the West End of Wallace St. My parents live near the Old Glass House area. So my Sister sees the trains at either location --- Currently the rail line is shut down, so it has been pretty quiet here for the past 2 weeks.

No, I do not. Mt sister is obsessed with Trains, and the rail line is actually by both mine and my parents (and sisters home), So I have looked into CSX a little bit.

i grew up by the rail, by cematery in wally world, we used to jump on it and catch rides.

lol I am on the river too. I am about two blocks from the Rail Bridge though.

CSX is all done and finished now in Wallaceburg. Unless another short line operator takes it over, you won't see any more trains at all unfortunately.

Which sucks. It really hurts the Farmer's that used the rail line to ship their grains. Now they have to pay more for Transports to come in and haul everything, which is going to effect roads and bridges. Hopefully someone or some small company comes in and buys the line.
