Nice video. I stumbled to your video because suddenly I was getting this p0700 code along with u0100. The check engine showed up then I tried to scan using my inexpensive Fixd tool. I did not experience any problems when driving it. Shifting was smooth. So I stopped and restart the engine using the remote and the check engine disappeared. I scanned it again and p0700 was gone but u0100 was still there. I reset the battery and all codes went off. Rescanned and no more codes showing up. Might be the harness you mentioned? Thanks for posting this video!
I have a similar problem with a 4ld60e transmission, transmission was repaired but it does not work 1. Speed is in emergency mode. And I have code po700. Do you think it is the module?
Hi Guys having problems with a 2009 Silverado 2500 LTZ Transmission ,we have just changed the wiring harness as the seal was leaking , put back together new oil ,filters took for a drive was fine put back up on host to check everything then it went into lip mode code that was coming up on scanner are P0700 Transmission control Model and P0708 Transmission Range Switch Circuit High Voltage , is the 708 code were you would start looking or replace , I live in Australia so its just not the case of taking down to local mechanic so and help would be very much appreciated Thanks Dave
2018 GMC Yukon XL FYI. Got code P0700 and U0100, the cause was the battery. Started fine, alternator checked out. Replaced the battery and it went away.
Thanks , short and well explained... i have second code P0700 & P0741 saying Torque converter clutch TCC system Stuck Off.. from your opinion the torque need to be changed or there is a sensor need to be replaced on BUICK REGAL 2013
Thanks for the video. I've had my 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 with a 6.6L Duramax in the GMC shop 3 times now because my truck keeps going into reduced power mode intermittently and it throws the P0700 code. No other codes are lighting up. I'm still under the powertrain warranty. The first time it was in the shop, I was told the transmission fluid was too low. The code came back and the 2nd time I was told it was transmission valve body linkage. That didn't fix the problem and the code came back again (along with reduced power mode). The GMC dealer told me that were getting low voltage codes so they changed out both batteries. Now a week later, the problem has returned and I need to take it back to GMC for a 4th time. Needless to say, I won't ever be spending $75K on another GM product. This truck really is a piece of junk. I have climate control buttons with burned out lights. The infotainment center always freezes up a couple of hours into a drive. This is a 4 year old truck with 66K miles.
They did not figure anything out. Gave it back to me after 15 days and said a generic P0700 doesn't tell them anything. They drove it for around 90 miles and it never went back into reduced power mode. So I've contacted an attorney and waiting for it to go into reduced power mode again and throw another P0700 error code. I notice when I drive it and take my foot off the accelerator that it doesn't coast, it feels like it catches and drags, like downshifting without a spike in the RPM. It's very subtle. I wonder if this is normal operations or a sign of something much bigger?
Great video i have a 2002 chevy trailblazer my port for the odb reader does not engage scanner. I went to autozone 3 months ago and got a code but cant remember it. I know it was for some part in the shift gear area on the center console. I recently went autozone again to get it tested again because my rpm are above 3000 while driving, and my transmission gear is delaying when i stop and go. so i went back to autozone to use their scanner and it will not turn on, so it wont read any codes. Can you help or know what it could be?
hello good sir, so i ran into the P0700 code as well a P0741 code for a torque converter clutch (tcc) system stuck off. Does this mean i have an issue with the torque converter clutch or could it all be just dirty tranny fluid with a control module issue? thank you good sir
'18 Tahoe 6L80 here. How about p0700 with p0714 (fluid temp sens intermit) and p0749 (press control solenoid intermit)? The fluid was dirty, which i feel would explain the first 2, but also 749? They are both intermittent codes... any ideas. Never seen any of these codes before and it was time to do the trans service. The codes came up and it started acting le it didn't want to go through all the gears, turned it around drive it slow back home and parked it! Then started ordering supplies for service. I'm wondering if I should pull the valve body and try to clean it and possibly the TEHCM🤔 Those codes scared me! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
2014 Sierra started bucking like a bronco?? Sometimes I lose shifting while driving and can't go past 40 miles per hour. Shift horrible truck feels like it's gonna cut off. Got the p0700 code along with p0796 any advice would be great. Nice video also!
I have 2018 Chevy Equinox with a Shift to Park ,but it is in park . I have changed the complete shifter and shift knob as well , still same problem . Vehicle is a push button start , so with this code it will not start because it thinks the car is in gear. Do you have any suggestions ?
I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado with a 4L 60 transmission won’t downshift in the low gear codes are po-700 and po-788 replace the shift solenoids and still getting problem. Can clear my code reader and clear the codes and the transmission works fine for a few miles and goes right back to same thing any ideas?
Same Here with my 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 4l60E transmission..I just changed the filter and fluid yesterday and ended up with the 2 codes P0700 and P0976-shift solenoid B control circuit low.. I am going back out there soon today and going to look at everything again..bummed I have to do it but have to have my truck !
Nice video covering the P0700 error code. Have you come across an additional error code (P0711) which is from the transmission temperature reader? When I went to get my emissions checked for my new state plate both of these codes showed up. I continually have the P0700 error code come up even after clearing it through a reader. My truck is the 2016 GMC Sierra SLT 5.3 with the tow package. Thanks!
Po700 today , 2 weeks ago p0741 sheeesh! Brand new transmission. Low oil pressure alert yesterday , overheating regularly… that’s a lot in a short amount of time so I’m gonna check alternator
So my overheating turned out to be a faulty thermostat. Torque converter won’t lock and I can feel it jumping . I will figure it out in a few days when I get home and let yall know . Bout ready to trade it in!
@@chasegobin7746 either the new transmission is acting up or I have a wire issue somewhere. Is your truck running fine ? And transmission won’t move? It’s in limp mode maybe ?
Mines won’t shift properly. It wouldn’t move forward only reverse but I turned the car on then off and I was able to go foward again but barely without lagging hard. What do you think new transmission or a part I can fix ?
I have a 2013 Spark that randomly gets this code. When it happens, it goes into “limp mode” and won’t shift gears and the auto door locks do not lock or unlock when putting the car in and out of gear. I can’t figure out why it does this. I will say that I put a new battery in it but the battery is an H5 size and not an H4. Could that possibly be a problem? The local shop didn’t have an H4 and said “an H5 would work”.
@@ashrafdolat2794 well, I thought I had it solved. I replaced the intake manifold gasket thinking it might have been leaking and as I went to remove it, I found that some of the intake manifold bolts were loose. I went ahead and replaced the gasket anyway and for awhile, the issue did seem to be resolved but a few months later the issue happened again. It still does it randomly and I still get a misfire (that seems to be worse at times and barely noticeable at other times). Im really thinking this is an electrical issue of some sorts or perhaps even a fuel pump possibly going out. These cars don’t have an in-line fuel filter like most cars. The filter is on the pump inside the tank in these cars.
drive a 2015 GMC Sierra 4x4 5.3 my ? po700 an po172 po175 the transmission shift ok no problem on the transmission just the po700 I was thinking to flush the transmission an my fuel trims are ltft-20 stft-8 both banks what should I do
The P0700 transmission code differs from the P0172 and P0175, which points to a "System Too Rich (Bank 1)" issue. Since you have so many, I would clear the codes and see which ones return. I would also start with the fuel-related codes first.
I have my 2004 duramax 4x4 with a p0700 p0778 I checked ohm’s to solenoid b and it’s a 5.5 has 12v at plug truck stays in limp mod and clear codes and pops up right away ? Any experience with something like this ?
Many times back and forth for 3 minutes and then I get a little backward and no front and a !little more back and a little front then it drives and makes a little clunk the trans fluid doesn't smell and no grit although I would like to check filter but when I drive it after small clunk I go 10 km tack at 1.7 and 20 30 40 50 60 70 back at 1.7 doesn't change shifts with no further issue of I stop it I might have to wait a minute with back and forth before I can resume my driving
P0700 is the only code! When I got my oil change they said the transmission fluid was light in color and needed to be changed? Probably start there first. 2014 traverse
I have a 96 Silverado, I have installed two different transmissions 4l60. Transmissions go into gear however truck won’t move. Lifted truck from rear differential and tires spin slowly however when I give it gas, tires stop. Any ideas?
@@aaronj08ar thank you, I should have updated you guys and give you info. They were selling me the wrong transmission this whole time. They were selling me a transmission for 95 and under. Chevy 96-98 are interchangeable only. Any other year transmission will not work because computer will not read.
I have an 08 Yukon Denali . I have a p0700 and a p0777 . I have no gears foward or reverse. Fluid is pink . I cannot hear any of the solenoids in the granny buzzing when I move the shifter
Had p0700...went into limp mode. Limped it to a parking lot and couldn't back out, no reverse. KOEO with accelerateor pedal foot to the floor for ten seconds and then keyed off. Released accelorator pedal and waited five minutes. Was able to drive normally and cleared code with a scan tool. Its been a few days since. Haven't had time to check the plug. But i have issues with the ignition switch. Being in Oakland...they tried to steal this thing a couple times...07 GMC Sierra.
Where is the tcm located on an 05 silverado. For the life of me I can not find it or any info on it location. Ive looked everywhere they say it is on this truck with no luck
I just got my transmission fluid changed and filter. After about 120 miles after fluid change, I got P0700 transmission code. What could it be? Shop said they added 8Qts of Dexron HP. ‘16 GMC sierra 8 speed tran
@@marshall8898 I think so I took it back to the shop and they scanned it and their scanner said P0711, which was the temperature sensor. Luckily, it was the last day of my extended warranty, and it covered most of the bill. I just had to pay for transmission fluid again.
I just put a 150amp alternator in my tahoe Went over to watch videos on it once i was done to make sure other ppls process was like mine and i noticed they used a 170amp. Now im thinking i maybe have used 1 to low since my trans has been acting weird.
It might. Mine didn't have any issues before I took it off-roading. The rear wheels spun-out in the sand and the shifter linkage jumped teeth. That caused some wear on the transmission leading to dirty metallic transmission fluid. Then after a partial flush the P0700 code came up on my Silverado 1500 2008. Still have all gears but the shifting linkage has been off since then and it has been a pain to adjust it. Since it's my work truck I plan to leave it alone until it kicks the bucket and then re-build the 4L60e again with a new torque converter this time around.
I’m getting these three codes P171D Trans. Surge Accumulator P0796 Pressure Control Soleniod Valve 3 P0700 Trans. Control Module I need some help because dealership trying to upcharge me for nothing
@@Sleepy_Foo Did you find out anything? mines popping the same exact code po700 only. Transmission starts in 3rd gear and doesn’t shift. I’m thinking a broken wire somewhere or alternator. I’ve switched a lot of parts already.
Hi! I. Also getting this code P0700 after my transmission got rebuilt. Sometimes it starts in 2nd gear. When coming to a stop it has late, and thumping downshifts on 3 to 2nd and 2nd to 1rst gears. Help would be greately appreciated.
Although I was giving my buddy a jump and the battery started to spark a little and after my truck turned off it started working fine and after a little ride home it started to miss fire exactly the same ?
2007 Uplander, lost 2nd 3rd and drive. Reverse and 1st still strong. Tranny sevice over due. Scanning codes now. Too much electronics. Selling it for a 1976 Ford f150....
