This is the first movie that portrayed a female who struggles with trauma and depression, I can't wait to see it. It is a breakthrough for women around the world. Thank you, Jennifer ❤
The "first movie"? That's witty. The first people to thank are Ottessa Moshfegh, Luke Goebel and Elizabeth Sanders the screen writers. She is listed as a Producer but usually that is negotiated by her Agent so she can have some control over her character which is common among Hollywood A Listers.
Kind of like she was the first female to portray a badass in an action movie? This is a joke right? It does look like a good movie but she ain't the first on either front
When I saw Jennifer in "Winter's Bones" i had never heard of her. I as far as I can say, Jennifer Lawrence is the best actress going. If you have not seen "Winter's Bones" please do and then most every movie she has done.
As Always Jennifer Lawrence Is Truly A Incredible Actress And Always Bringing her 100%! Words Aren't Enough To Say How Special Jennifer Lawrence Truly Is! I am terminally ill, I wish this was on right now so I could watch it! TIME is very much a factor for me¡
So many of my highschool friends joined the Army, Marines, etc. because they wanted to get away from their home life - I don’t know where most of them are right now but I hope they’re doing ok
This was such a beautifully captured movie of an individual’s life and their perspective on their life. Thank you for this amazing cast to have this movie for so many people and to outlive the emotions of real veterans and peoples family dynamics
Jennifer Lawrence! you are such a beautiful person. thank you for this movie. I've experienced this first hand my friend. Thank you thank you thank you!
She said something very stupid recently that could end her career for awhile but doing this movie was a brilliant move. She has a lot of talent and this story needs to be told because there are so many men and women walking among us whose spirits were destroyed by War.
She made a mistake. It's not going to end her career though. All the hate started for her when she openly dissed trump. Now certain ppl are looking for any little crumb to hate her for. That woman has more money than she'll ever spend so even if she did stop acting I'm sure she has other investments & endeavors she can get into. Still, I believe her acting career will be fine. I've always been a fan & will continue to support her.
@@chiarabay9364 the mistake I was referring to was the statement she made. I never said dissing trump was a mistake. I said dissing trump was what sparked the hate for her from the beginning a few years ago. So who's the real moron here?
i know Americans are conditioned to see all their soldiers as patriots and heroes, but I have to admit I struggle to relate to occupying forces fighting the people in their own lands, wherever it is. No matter how divergent or regnant their culture is, like ISIS or the Talban. A bit like a film about an injured german soldier home from the Paris in WWII, trying to get back to his unit. Kind of hope he steps on mine as soon as he's back.
How the fuck are they the Nazi coming back home? Do you know what they did in the middle east? Those networks of middle eastern mobsters who were publicly called AL Qaeda were nameless. They had opium and heroin dealing groups and because of their culture they didn't spend money on any Ferrari etc. Their banks were filled with so much money the agencies feared that someone would even sell them small nuke missile head etc. Their prostitution networks had to be broken up. I'm pretty sure that's what they meant with weapons of mass destruction. 🇺🇸 Americans save people. I'll argue it wit anyone only with the truth. Do they take advantage? I hope so. According to Trump not at all. Other people are the ones making money. I fear it's been true for decades now and who are you gonna trust.
The most deranged part of this comment is that you don't see any issues with it. I blame the Neo Marxists for brainwashing people from the west - people that have been free for hundreds of years and have not seen real evil.
You mean like the Russians in Berlin at the close of WW2? Or The Americans or The British? I mean, I get it-democracy means a country bring run by it's citizens. But per your comment some VERY necessary interventions wouldn't have happened.
@@SanFranDentist94301 i'm not saying interventions shouldn't have happened. A liberating force is very different to an occupying force. There are always people in any country pleased to see one and not the other, depending on their political leanings. The difference is how long they stick around. After liberation- you go home. occupying force- still there after many years. I'm, just saying from a non US point of view US troops camped up in other countries are problematic. Even when foreign troops are invited by the Government, as the Chinese are in the Solomon Islands- they are there to protect the government from the people. I see "Insurgents' in their own countries as the patriots even if i hate their politics. When they take their shit overseas- then they are terrorists.
@@lospaisasoriginal5454 I am not saying US troops are nazis at all. Not all weirmacht soldiers supported the nazis. if someone was in the german army in WWII, they went where the officers told them to go. There is a brilliant Finnish (or Danish film) about german POWs forced to dig up german mines on beaches. Once you get to know the characters- you want them to survive as individuals- but any sympathy comes from their innocence as pawns of the nazis, not from any sense of patriotism. The American government, on the whole has done the best they can in a terrible situation, but as much as I dislike trump, i have to agree the best thing is to GTFO of there and let the middle east sort it out themselves. Like Ukraine- give the side you support weapons and aid, but as soon as troops set up shop, as well meaning as they may be, they are seen as invaders my many of that countries inhabitants. The troops home countries (not just the US) will always see them as patriots and heroes, but not so other places.
@@khawinx Well, the subtitles and spoken dialog don't match, so they're pretty much worse than useless. As someone who is both hard of hearing and dyslexic, I really depend on good quality subtitles, and too often I am disappointed. It's extremely frustrating and inhibits my ability to enjoy or even understand film media.
I was amazed by Jennifer Lawrence and how she truly embodied her character in Winter's Bone. Now I watch her "perform" and all I see is a jaded actress reciting lines of dialog. Please retire and leave us with our memories from back when you were actually a GOOD actress.
