Took us long enough to do another Half Life thing! It’s always been one of my favorite universes since my dad got the orange box collection for me on the PlayStation 3 and I had to make him beat the boat mission because my small child brain couldn’t comprehend it. Though got a little carried away in the editing and ended up with like 17 minutes of cut footage and tragically I don’t have the time to fully edit that out before I have to go on a trip. Managed to get this rebel half done and hopefully the combine side when I get back! (Also won’t be a video next week!)
I humbly request that you humbly request the mod makers to do a map/mission based on the end of HL2 Episode 2. There is a base, with a rocket, and humans must protect it. There are three defensive rings with 3 little villages (Alpha 1/2/3, Bravo 1/2/3, -Delta- Lamba 1/2/3) that store supplies. Enemy units randomly attack each village, in order, from different direction. And the enemies can destroy the stored supplies.
Imagine being Gordon Freeman, and the other prominent figures of the Rebellion, and getting the after action report that half a company was wiped out by a flying train that defied the laws of physics from Jay who has the print of a train track on his face XD
Commander: "How?! How does a full length train pull a 360 off the tracks! What company was it?" Soldier: "Ignis sir." Commander: "Oh okay, that's normal."
It's gonna be easier to just blame it on the Borealis, than attempt to untangle the chain of events ( that had most likely occurred in less than 4 seconds ) that actually led to it happening.
** - sign Gordon: *what the fuck* Commander: "not too out of the ordinary" Gordon: *How!?!? That train and other vehicles broke physics mutiple times, hundreds of men died, command sqaud was nearly wiped out, and finally even though this unit should have beeb wiped to the last, all of then are still alive, just how?!?!?* Commander: "Its Ignis Company sir, its Ignis"
@@strykertron232Mood. My Arma 3 Mod collection is literally about 2x bigger than GTA5 and Ace Combat 7 combined. That's about 300GB, btw. GTA5 is about 150ish GB(with all the updates to date) and AC7 is around 63GB.
I've played so much Half-Life 2 that Stalkers are like, set-pieces to me. Just big buildings that move a bit and shoot at you. Once they're in a place I don't expect them to be, they're IMMEDIATELY just as terrifying as the first time I saw them, all those years ago.
@@DeathKhan I don't think you guys know what Stalkers are. Striders are the tripod things, stalkers are the mutilated humans that have had all of their organs, their hands, and the feet removed and turned into mindless slaves.
Making the whole mission centered around a singular, large moving vehicle that Ignis would need to crowd around was really tempting the wrath of Glorbodesh, the God of ARMA desync.
Love how basically the Crowbar becomes an infantry sword to the resistance forces, let the last sounds the combine hear be the swinging of metal tearing away their Tupperware armor.
@@rabee06. Well, if you consider Opposing Force to be committing war crimes ... those files are top secret, how do you know about that? Could you please go with these nice men in black suits?
That first strider encounter was both hilarious, immersive, and terrifying. The rebel running in fear, all the gunfire, the sheer bass of the strider's shrieks, and the immense death it caused was just MWAH
I like how at the beginning of every opp jay sees someone standing next to a dead body and has to ask what happened,And EVERY TIME, he is never given an answer.
This came out like a month after I commented about how you guys should do more Half Life Arma stuff, so I am just going to go ahead and take credit for the idea :) But for real, I have been craving some Half Life content lately. I'm stoked to see you guys do more Arma Half Life, its been so long I thought the last one was just a fluke. Cant wait for the Combine perspective!
Combine reporter: "there's a rebellious assault in section 8" Combine commander: "identify" Reporter: "they call themselves Ignus" Commander: *begins hitting his head repeatedly on the nearest wall *
Guy 1: Hope do you copy? Guy 2: Hope’s fucking ripped apart by a damn hunter. And the he just goes *Yea* like it just a normal Tuesday. I laughed for a minute straight!
I think every time when someone says Barney's line. "About that beer I owe you. It's me Gordon, Barney from Black masa. Jay just gets PTSD from him playing SCP secret laboratory.😂😂❤ 1:52
1:27 i see you had some friendly fire issues here. (armor 80 >49) 2:31 shoulda worn some plates fool 2:42 so, armor works like an overshield. Neat. 3:24 I'm doing my part! 3:47 friendly bonk 4:05 explosive crowbars may be hazardous to YOUR health!! 5:04 rubix raptor wants to be turned on??? 5:32 bring spare wheels. 5:58 secret combine weapons strike again 6:39 AYO??? 6:54 epic GHPC crossover
Hey Rubix/Jay, you guys interested in doing an Arma op based on the Fallout Universe at all? Post apoc seems right up your guy's alley, especially given all the apocalyptic situations you and your crew at Ignis get yourselves (and the world) into.
