Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ru-vid.comUgkxECnmSvBSv_NGWx4_ChD73pF3NYZwI2F3 and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
Depends on what exactly you mean. Our most successful show dog was Bexley, who was a champion in both the AKC and our national breed club. She took a Best In Show at a specialty show (that's a show with Cavaliers only, and there were about 100 entered) when she was 13 years old. Our most successful producer was Derby, who is a few generations back from every Cavalier we have now. She once produced a litter with 3 Champions, one of which was also a Grand Champion.
It's so nice to see that there are people like this that do it right. These are awesome breeders! I wouldn't hesitate for a second in getting a pup from them. This will be my next dog. I have always wanted one of these little ones.
rob peters so has my mom. We have one, a tri-color Trinket. Don’t be surprised if you get a smart one. Our girl is so bright! I taught her sit in one day. But don’t be surprised if you get a dumb one - they aren’t always bright, but there’s one thing they all have in common. They’re such a cuddly and social breed. They’re perfect for ESA license.
I've had two, my first was puppy from a very nice breeder. He out lived all his litter mates, he was 16 when he passed. I was a dental assistant and I would clean his teeth. Cavaliers are prone to heart issues and even though he had one I believe keeping his teeth clean lengthens their lives. My second was a rescue and had terrible teeth at 3 when I got her. She died at 10 of a heart attack. So if you get one, it's my best advice, take care of their teeth. I'll have another hopefully some day wonderful dogs.
Our baby girl Kati, she was so smart. The breeder we bought her from made sure she was socialized, good with other pups, cats and other animals. She came from Indiana and we paid for her trip home. She was just going to the groomer, and we had her collar and leash on. From out of no where, fire trucks, ambulances we passing right in front of the groomers. Kati twisted her collar off, and took off running. My husband was running after her and when he rounded the corner, he saw our Kati, laying in the grass....not moving. She was 2. And is missed everyday.. I would recommend Miniature Schnauzers. And we will have another. 😢
Get one. You will never regret it. Though I should warn you, you will more than likely never own another dog unless it's a Cavalier. 😬 And whatever you do, make sure the breeder is educated and responsible about the health of their dogs!! Syringomyelia, I believe, is even more prevalent in Cavs than heart disease and it causes much suffering. It's not fair to a dog to have to live this way, so we need to do what we can to prevent it and that means simply ONLY buying pups from knowledgeable, responsible breeders who test all their sires and dams for ALL the top health concerns like SM/CM (Syringomyelia and Chiari malformation), MVD (mitrial valve disease), and luxating patellas (the knees). You'll pay just as much for an AKC papered pup that's not tested as you will one that is and if you have to pay a few hundred more that's fine because it's worth it completely!! These are the BEST dogs in the world. My girl will lay around with me, play with me, follow me, hike miles with me... She loves the water, is so sweet, smart and happy and she's so much FUN!! I hope you find your little heart dog too, in a beautiful Cavalier (cos they're all beautiful hehe). ❤️🐾❤️
Baby Cavaliers make my heart sing. I have had two Cavaliers now, a Blenheim and a now a Ruby. They are the best dogs ever, and have been very loved members of our family.
@annamal pete Funny how u said he still looks like a puppy coz that's what we thought of our Lady. She forever looked like a puppy everyone calls her puppy sometimes
I also have 2 cavaliers a Blenheim eevee and a tri hero hero has been done so we plan on getting a stud ruby for my eevee and keeping a ruby girl puppy which we will call trixie (Bellatrix) and eventually we are gonna get a Black and Tan Which will be named teddy
@@hamsiniremella4653 , ahhh I guess Annamal is lucky. Barkley sheds enough to make a new Cavalier. (and I do groom him-just brushing though. I like to keep him natural. Grinch-feet and all)
ZBD RULES Ethical means that something is done to a moral standard. In this case, the breeder is ethical because he cares for the dogs and does not breed irresponsibly.
@@alexiachatzipetrou9137 had a friend who lived near me for while and at one point her cat had kittens when over we would hold her lil fluffy jelly beans(new borns) and I'm talking days old ones.the mother cat watched but was calm and we so very gentle delicate handling the lil cutie pies held with two hands and snuggled against us and then even lay them on friend's bed it was so sweet watching them move around exploring and when bit older more playing. they either already passed or well they be quite old by now. i was like 25 or so my friend a bit younger than me but now i am 39. cat's do tend to be more crazy overprotective but that in their nature.there are always exceptions. animals like that already know whom they can trust for most part.
i’m from the philippines. I love dogs unfortunately i can’t afford dog. Thank you for sharing your dogs to us. I feel i have my own dog because of your videos here. More power to you and Godbless always. Salamat from the philippines ♥️
Hello Judy how are you doing. I believe you are healthy and also having a nice weather where you are. I live in Virginia and I'm looking for a new friend Ok!
They are sooo adorable. My little boy is now 4 months old. I can’t believe how fast he growing. He was such a potato now he’s soo tall. They are beautiful.
Cavaliers are so special. As cute as they are, they're every bit that loving and affectionate. My Benny is almost 2 years old and is my whole world ❤ Major respect to this breeder for being so knowledgeable and caring of this sweet breed.
I have a beautiful 2yr old blenheim cavie, she is so loving, playful and sweet i couldn't imagine life without her. She was the best choice of breed especially with my children she plays a big role in our lives xx
My little girl Star (cavalier) and I enjoyed watching this video. She particularly liked when the puppies where playing in the yard with their mother, as well as when they were eating their meals. :)
I have a tri-color girl. Trinket is so smart! She knows my sister’s school schedule and waits for her to come inside. I taught her sit in one day - I’m not kidding, she learned fast. She even jumped out of her kennel when my back was turned! I was told they were of average intelligence as a breed, but I didn’t expect little Trinket to be so smart. It’s a surprise and she keeps me on my toes.
@@preciousenglishbulldog933 I’m sure you’re just a troll, so I’m just going to say this - find something else to do. Not in the sun of course; you’ll turn to stone.
@@anonage7732 Pathetic? Do you mean pathetic fallacy? Sympathetic? Empathetic? Or do you mean the actual pathetic? Like miserably inadequate? Which in this case you are calling someone likes dogs? Because from my calculations, you are pathetic. Maybe next time, before you comment something snarky, you should check what it means first because someday, when someone sees your rude comment, it will come up and bit you in the butt!
Thank you for posting a truly enjoyable video; it was lovely seeing a glimpse in the life of the young, precious Cavaliers pups, their beautiful mom, and their attentive owners. All the best to you all.
Thanks so much. I'm getting a Cav. at the end of this month. I've had dogs all my life, but they've always been big dogs. Now that I'm 63 and have some health issues, I thought it's time for a small dog. I went to Westminster Dog Show and watched them in the ring and fell in love. I can't wait. She's a little Benheim girl and I'm going to call her Phoebe. I'll keep in touch. Donna
@@leahc8622 make sure you ask to see the health records of the parents. They should be heart clear and no instances of SM. This will save you a lot of potential heart ache.
I have a 6 month old cavalier and his name is Charlie Pepper. He is the best addition to my family. So loving. Kind. Sweet great with the kids. Loves to cuddle. Loves family time. I couldn’t imagine life without him now.
Love this video. I bought a cav in October 2019. Before she was even 3 months old, I thought something was off. I was right. Later diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, heart murmur and bladder issues. Poor little girl will have a short life no matter how good a dog mom i am. The breeder is giving me another puppy in 3 weeks (different bitch and stud) at no charge. She is a lovely woman and felt terrible that my heart bonded to a sick animal. Im grateful.
We have a Ruby and a black and tan from committed, caring breeders in England who show such as this Gentleman and his family in the video, It is plain to see the genuine love and care this guy has for the greatest breed of dog there is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Hats off to you Sir !!
I’ve had a Blenheim female named Rosie for the past 11 years. She passed away yesterday. This video reminds me so much from when she was just a little puppy. This made me so happy and a little sad. I cried and laughed during this video. I’m so glad to see breeders that are doing this right!
Hello Laura how are you doing. I believe you are healthy and also having a nice weather where you are. I live in Virginia and I'm looking for a new friend Ok!
I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he is the SWEETEST. Jax is a Blenheim and I would never trade him for the world! It makes me so happy seeing any dog get lots of care but especially Cavalier King Charles Spaniels because this breed has a special place in my heart ❤️❤️
Hello Elene how are you doing. I believe you are healthy and also having a nice weather where you are. I live in Virginia and I'm looking for a new friend Ok!
We have a cavalier exactly like the one that stayed with you, she is a girl and we named her Honey, we bought her when she was ten weeks old and she is already 12 years old, they are the sweetest and most tender dogs that exist, we love her with all our being.❤
I have a Cavalier and she is just the best at. I enjoyed this video so much. Lots and lots of smiling. The Breeders were so kind and gentle to these dogs. Dogs everywhere should be treated just like this
I think I've seen just about every kind of puppy in existence, and Cavaliers may be the cutest of all. The possess this kind of silkiness to their fur that is incomparable with any other dog. Exceptional breed.
Aww how sweet! My Cavalier was the only girl in a litter of 4 too and she was the most wonderful dog I've ever had. These lil guys look so happy and healthy!
11:14 I knew you'd keep him from birth...the bond was instantly there! Love this video and you are awesome dog parents/breeders. Thank you for sharing. They are so cute!!!
I knew that too, from the beginning though. I mean it was obvious that the gentleman took instantly a liking to that puppy - due to his fur colour maybe... 🤔 - and I observed that he filmed him more than he filmed his siblings. I do not mean that he has not been good and caring with all 4 puppies and their mother too of course. 🙂
This was an absolutely wonderful, beautiful video. How enchanting! What loving care you showed to them. All the pups have had a wonderful start in life.
I could literally watch these guys all day!! I wish the video was longer, hehe. You are a very good breeder! My little Charlotte Roo is the best dog I've EVER had. That being said, she has Syringomyelia, horrible GI issues and she's always been scared of lots of things. I love how you teach the puppies tricks, how you love them lots, and how much noise you have going on in their environment. Like the clanging food dishes they eat from. VERY smart! Charlotte won't even eat from a dish that makes noise. 😢 I can't blow dry her fur after her baths. If I cough or even have noisy gas (lol), she jumps and gets upset. Same with the vacuum. Her breeder said they were raised in the home, yet I couldn't see where the pups were kept and I'm almost positive I saw her retrieve them from the garage. They were weaned at four weeks old. I was told that Charlotte didn't seem interested in food much, but ever since her first meal at my house, she's been a total hog!! 😁 She's also scared of other dogs. Meh. Then her breeder blacked out the box on her papers that denies us the right to have AKC puppies from her (not that I would have bred her anyway after the SM diagnosis). Even though she went over the papers with me with a fine tooth comb, she skipped over this part. She is secretive about the other puppies and refuses to let me connect with their owners. Then, when I asked her about the SM she claimed to not even have ever heard of it!!!! After sixteen YEARS of breeding Cavaliers you've never heard of Syringomyelia?!? Liar. She's a snobby greeder breeder. Charlotte is my first Cavalier and next time I will make sure the breeder is one of the best and most responsible! I paid the average price for my girl, which is a lot, and I've paid thousands more on vet bills and she's not even a year and a half old. I can't stress enough how important it is to buy your puppy from an educated, responsible, loving breeder who cares about the future of their pups!! I appreciate you. ❤️ And all this being said, I still have the best dog in the world. 😍🐾😍😉
Your Charlotte seems to be an amazing dog for me despite her health issues and her fears which torture her. I would like to congratulate you for bringing up Charlotte with so much love and tenderness. And, for God's sake, do not feel sorry for her not being able to do what other dogs do. I am sure that she is also happy in some way. ❤❤❤
I owned for 11 years two and I cannot tell you how beautiful they can enrich your lives. I adored mine and spoiled and loved so huge of them to the end of their lives,
So cute. I had a little Blenem girl she sadly passed 3 years ago. I wish all these puppies the best and hope they have wonderful lives. Cavaliers really are one of the best breeds to have.
Just so utterly impressed with your obvious love and knowledgeable care, socialization, outdoor and indoor stimulation and even training with these angel babies! Been trying to find out who you are and if you are still breeding. I was raised with pointers (crazy) and lost my Irish terrier of almost 15 years (feels like yesterday), and while I'm w huge IT fan, I've had my eye on the CKCS for a long time now. Met a pup a number of yers ago and got to know it as it grew, and there is a part of me that would love to have one of these in my family. Thank you for sharing so much sweetness and love!
casey mart my same thoughts.. they don’t like the black ones. And in the end he even considers him a showdog.. in which i thought he thinks a light colored one is prettier than the dark ones! Lol
They wouldn’t be able to keep any of the black and tans for conformation (dog showing) because they are mismarked. So it makes sense why they kept the Blenheim. It’s up to breed standard.
Love these dogs! I haven’t had one myself but am hoping to get one in the future😀 Right now my family has six Great Pyrenees, so that’s going to be a change going from giant dog to a small dog 🐶 Keep up the great work!
