I loved visiting this cave in the early 1960s when my parents lived in Colorado Springs. It got me hooked on caving. I was about 12 years old and started exploring some of the nearby wild caves in Williams Canyon with my friends of the same age, like Pedro's Cave and Huccacove Cave. I have great memories of that time.
I was there in the fall of 1979. The natural beauty and wonder was all we needed. The history of the native Americans is lost completely with this amusement park atmosphere. 😢
Nostalgia! I’ve been here 2 maybe 3X back in ‘91-‘93 when my father stationed at Ft. Carson, Co. I was 6 yrs old. I decided to RU-vid it because I was talking to my parents about a home they bought there back in the 90’s and unfortunately didn’t enjoy it for long since my father stationed in Germany. Wow so many memories. Now I have 3 children of my own. Would love to bring them here.
I live really close to this place, and I eventually want to go there for the thrill of the rides and the surrounding beauty, because I'm an amusement park freak.
Pheonixia Gal this is a cave touring place, there is only one ride and it’s like 60 dollars a person. I have gone here for 3 years now, and it is not an amusement attraction.
I went to this before that episode aired. I dont remember treasure. It was a cool tourist attraction. The cave itself is beautiful as is the hillside of the mountain its located.
Why does everything have to be turned into an amusement park. As if the surrounding area isn't majestic enough? What's with the kid in the harness walking on the green pipes - why isn't he looking around at the natural wonders? Rock climbing on a fake wall surround by real rock walls. I was there in 1965 and none of this distracting nonsense was there. I certainly would not go back with all that crap that they built around it.
Nancy.... I'm 68 and I've done the zip lines on Freemont St. in Vegas and jumped off the Stratosphere. I'm ready to do the zip lines at Cave of the Winds and the one at the Royal Gorge and still be able to take in the beauty and splendor of the surrounding area.
