It wasn't an NBA championship, but Merrill Reese saying after the last play of SB 52 " Eagles Fan everywhere, this is for you. Let the celebrations begin" was amazing to me and I felt like you did
You mad Bro!? nigga there s no one in this whole world who can win a championship without one more star in their team and at least lebron came close in 2007 Jordan magic bird the list goes on, everyone of them needed a star in their team
You mad Bro!? 2004 Detroit ? Ben Wallace Chauncey rip? Ain't superstars prince? Rasheed nigga stfu... and 2011 mavs were great so idk what u were smoking
Then I would be no fun!!!! Best best part is then beat a 73 win team on the road!!!! Cavs has to win 74 game to play game 7... it would be lot less emotional..
I remember watching this. Game 7 with my dad on Father's Day who's been a Cavs fan his whole life and had dealt with all of the Cleveland curses throughout the years. And I just remember me and him jumping and hugging each other and crying after the buzzer rang. Easily one of the greatest moments in my life
This was just special. 2016 NBA Finals was the most fun I've ever had watching since the 2010 Lakers/Celtics. I think this is LeBron's sweetest one. Winning down 3-1 against a Warriors team that won 73 games, playing at their home court, add into the fact that he returned to Cleveland and fulfilled his promise and ended the drought. Plus it's the most emotional I've ever seen him be.
😭😭😭😭🏆🏆 ..Cleveland is like a 2nd home to me, but I hope I can have this feeling for my knicks one day ..at any point..even if I’m 80 I’ll be happy.. just let it happen please
After 52years of our families being let down.. Sports in northeast Ohio is tradition and I can't put this feeling into words!! The first team ever to come back down 3-1 to win it all!! Northeast Ohio we deserve this!! Celebrating all summer 16
Not just North Eastern Ohio Kristina there are those of us in central Ohio (Cbus here) who have suffered with you guys through every painful defeat I will be merciful and not list them here.
+Carson Sheir that's funny you felt the need to interject that you are from Cbus and "with us" in this win..but you weren't in the losses smdh ! Does not work that way! 🖐🏻 #byealisha
Probably EVER! Cavs beat the team with the best regular season EVER and did it by coming back from a 3-1 deficit. Show me a more iconic moment in basketball than the block, dude.
@@nkoehler337 Jordan's last shot as a Bull is more iconic IMO. The 2016 Finals is probably the best Finals ever though, glad I was old and coherent enough to witness that historic series and to understand what was on the line for both teams
@@zeinmets3550 man Jordan fans really are delusional. Him hitting a shot he pushed off on doesn’t compare to the emotion of a hometown player in Lebron and fearless badass scorer in Kyrie beating the team with best record ever on the road and ending a city’s 52 year title drought in a comeback that had never happened before.
@@eljahihamgottin4540 you have no reading comprehension lol. what he meant was they almost won both the nba title and world series, but the cleveland indians (mlb team) choked a 3-1 lead, which is kinda funny considering the cavs came back from a 3-1deficit
mike molo same here. Then a month later we had a successful Republican Convention, followed by the first World Series game 1 in Cleveland. While the rest of the country bitched and moaned, Cleveland celebrated in 2016.
my best friend passed away last April I told him before he died Cleveland Cavaliers 2016 nba champions and they did i cryied when I got to work I told my boss how he was a diehard fan of Cleveland I'm like Sami this is for u brother
Everyone forgets to mention that it's the first ever for the basketball team. I find that to be more joyful. First ever Championship for the CAVS has a better ring to it in my opinion!
No that would be Miami they suck! warriors r bandwagon bitches! Cavs r Champions. I live in Cleveland and we have soccer, basketball, hockey titles. And a great baseball team. Yeah the Browns suck but I'm loyal and will never support another team.
My Mom was a Lebron James Fan... passed away before the end of regular season this year ... whenever I visit her I would talk to her about everything that happened that year especially this championship and would just imagine her having a laugh and dancing with Joy... When I miss her ... I watch this and other lebron highlights ... forever a fan ❤
I’ve only cried because of 3 sporting events. The 1989 AFC championship game, the 1997 World Series, and the 2016 NBA finals. Guess which one of the three were happy tears?
peteski03 Bandwagon? How if im supporting a team thats 15th in the western conference. Ive been a dubs fan since 2012. Know ur facts before u talk, you’re most likely a fan thats supporting a team in top 3 seed
7 years later, and this moment in time still stands apart. The emotion from the years of losing, the years of getting close and it not happening... They did it the hard way, as we do here in Northeast Ohio.
this was the greatest finals of all time. lebron comes back home and promises a ring, they go to the finals against the best team ever, they go down 3-1, then they come back and in a thrilling game seven win it all.
I’ve been a lebron fan since the beginning. By far my favorite championship it just meant so much I cried with my little brother and it was Father’s Day. It was such a great day.
Laker fan here....but as a sports fan in general I couldn't be happier for North Eastern Ohio. What a way to win...all the drama through out the years. Congrats and live it up. Amazing story.
Looking back at this, this is the story of a man who. Put his whole life to bring his state back to glory after 52 years of no form of a championship. Forever embedded in history, king.
@@officialconch and Lebron hit 3 clutch foul shots, a lead taking 3-pointer, the block that kept it tied, and the foul shot that effectively put the game out of reach. Equal effort. Lebron was in beast mode with Kyrie. YOU cope jealous hater.
@@DKsHighlights dense people like you need to stop talking. Lebron drained 3 foul shots, then hit a huge. Then got the block to keep it tied. He dragged the Cavs to the finish line and Kyrie helped them cross it after. Team play, as it should be.
will never forget it. In a bar off east 4th when they won and people went INSANE. I was chest bumping random people in the streets. People were jumping on busses. Everyone was elated. It was the craziest night in Cleveland I've ever been apart of.
Original L lmao you should say that about golden state smh. I’m from Cleveland, and I’ve never seen a bandwagon. Golden state has a huge fan base in Cleveland. That says something, doesn’t it?
This is the first time I’ve ever seen this video. I was in the building that night, almost right above you a few sections higher. Seeing the crowd from this perspective gives me chills. I don’t think I’ll ever experience anything with this much palpable energy ever again. Thank you so much for sharing this, and making me cry tears of joy in reliving this moment again. What an amazing unforgettable night.
I don’t even live in Ohio, not a cavs fan. But I acknowledge the greatness of Lebron. This is what he did for his city. Not only player has done that and came back on a 3-1 finals lead against “the greatest team in history”
Always nice to revisit this every year or two makes me happy to think of how much everyone enjoyed that Championship in cleveland and the parade was one of the coolest things I’ve seen in my life
I was rooting for Philly. Not just because I hate the Patriots, but because a Super Bowl title was long overdue for the Eagles. I was happy that they won
Z Stoermer I might not be accurately tell the future but I can make highly probable predictions so lets think about this. In the first month of the NBA this season the Warriors had a .250 win percentage which means they lose about 3 games for every 1 game they win. Yes you read that right. THEY LOSE THREE GAMES FOR EVERY ONE GAME THEY WIN AND THIS IS WHEN STEPH WAS PLAYING. Its even worst now btw its a .2 right now. Only four teams in the NBA right now have a record worse than .250. Also any team that is in the playoff picture(top 8 seeds) at the time of me posting this had AT LEAST A .414. So you wanna tell me Warriors are going to go from literally the worst team in the NBA winning wise to skipping like at least 7 team and make the playoffs, THEN GO THU THE ROCKETS, CLIPPERS AND LAKERS. Steph Curry is good, really good but how far can you go by yourself with a very young upcoming all-star. So I can’t predict the future but probable predictions.
One kf the greatest moments in american sports history the 2016 nba finals cleveland cavaliers winning coming back from 3-1 against the 73-9 warriors Lebron james 🐐 comes back to his home and wins it for cleveland akron ohio and millions around the world
No mattar how times passed , this video makes me emotional. I believe that we can beat coronavirus and watch NBA as soon as possible. I'd like to be crazy about NBA again. Sorry for my poor English. I'm japanese.
