Sometimes I would go on there just to diss people and It got really heated between me and someone else. I said something that made him laugh really hard and we became friends after that.
And that's why I love my CB. Never gon get rid of it cause boys on the other end always got hilarious stuff to say. By bad language it means feeling right at home for me lol 🤣🤣🤣
I was driving down 35w on my way to Dallas and there was a crash about 2 miles ahead of me. Im not a trucker, but I have never heard my CB light up with angry truckers like that over a bunch of people slowing down to see the crash that happened on the other side of the barrier. Blocked up traffic as far as 3 miles behind me apparently. I initially started the tidal wave of cussing and confusion when i keyed up and said the line " Breaker 1 9 this is Scrap. Anyone got eyes on whats causing this massive jam headed northbound on 35w near exit 54?" I swear as soon as a driver responded with "a kid driving a beetle just bumped into the barrier on the other side of the freeway up here and everyone on our side is rubber neckin" the other drivers listening in got so mad that we were this held up. Funniest shit i ever done started.
Messing with truckers is hilarious. I used to live overlooking the freeway and had a decent base antenna so I would go on what I called a 'fishing expedition' and start saying deranged stuff for fun until one finally bites and then I just sit back and let it snowball from there. Once one of em starts going off it starts a tidal wave of everyone else jumping in and all of a sudden channel 19 goes from dead to crowded.
@@Punk-Jw that's more less what I was getting at. I should've worded it differently. If they can't read English they shouldn't be driving a truck or driving period. But our country allows these clowns to do so we'll have to deal with it.
its not fair getting paid by the mile and no overtime pay. every other job in America has a law in place that requires the employer to pay the employee overtime pay after 8 hours in a day or after 40 hours in a week
@@jamesdukes1869 yes it is true. Truck drivers can’t drive especially swift drivers. And y’all drive too fast y’all need a governor on your trucks that won’t let you go any faster then 55
@@jarrodbushyhead6928 I'm not a truck driver but I'm pretty sure experienced drivers drives way better than y'all 🤣😑🤣😑😑 but go ahead say what you want but y'all 4 wheelers love to cut trucks off or better yet not give them any room plus the company loves to rush the drivers so that isn't the driver fault
This looks like 78 in pa. Pennsylvania can stick there truck signs up there rear. By the way it's not like that now. More infrastructure for more warehouses. Pennsylvania sucks
@@TumaTime I got out 14 years ago now I climb out every day and Sunday and Monday off. milk tanker. Teamsters. hourly pay , overtime pay after 8. I'll never look back
Glad someone's still using the damn radio. Family and I went from Idaho, to Michigan, to Texas, to Montana this summer and didn't hear nothing except for a couple guys near Paris, TX bitching about the DOT. Most of the time, the only radio traffic was between my vehicle and the one I was traveling with.
@Rowdy Nope infact im more than happy to share info/ payroll to spread awareness. Truckers need to wake up to the fact that there is plenty of money to be made out here if you take your head out of the sand. The more truckers that learn that they can make more money, the higher the wages will go when people stop allowing large carriers to rip them off paying 700-1200 a week. Even owner operators will benefit from increased wages because mega carriers would have no choice but to drive up the cost of freight. Everyone benefits from truckers waking up and going to companies that pay good. If you are doing over the road trucking, do not work for a large Mega carrier like swift, knight, werner, may, schneider, etc unless you need to gain experience. Work for small companies. Search craigslist in the mid West, especially Chicago. OTR companies pay the highest over there. Even with as little as 6 months- 1 year of experience, you can find companies that pay 60 cents per mile hauling simple shit like dryvan/ reefer and govern trucks at 68-75 mph. Some even cheat their E-logs ( like mine) and manually change locations and logged hours so you can run more. No 34 hour break bullshit for me. And if you are young like me, running hard isnt an issue. I was being modest when I said 2k. My good weeks are usually about 2500. An exceptional week is a little higher. I almost never have a week where I run less than 3500 miles. Infact, I consider anything under that a bad week.
@@profitwages9625 Nope i live elsewhere on the other side of the country. The company I work for is based out of the Chicago area though. I flew there to get this job because it doesnt really matter where a company is based if you are going to do over-the-road trucking and they started me on 60 cpm
Aaahhh good old CB RADIO gotta love it pass the time shooting the shit with other drivers and etc. Iam running my radio on 24/7 very informative and life saving transmissions on cb 19 need to know what lane closed where the diesel bears 🐻at road closures weather info list goes on and on very valuable tool to have all drivers please run a cb radio in your truck at all times, Thanks and keep it between the ditches, Iam back quiet
Eric Cutrer I don’t run them and never have and never will. Do you think there was more accidents 15years ago when we didn’t have to run them? Now we have all of you steering wheel holders racing the clock driving like idiots and taking your half hour breaks on the side of the road where people run in the back of you and in the fuel islands so a guy can’t just get fuel you guys have to take breaks there also.
I was going to say, is this off route 33 with all the bullshit road work?! Hahaha. I'm from Stroudsburg what should take 45 mins to get to Bethlehem took my almost 2hrs with road work lol.
I haven't drove a truck for over a year and I do not miss most aspects of this lifestyle. But I sure do miss the sound of a 15 litre diesel. I can buy a grain/gravel truck to haul and dump my byproduct lumber though, that will give me a chance to shift gears and play with the jakes without being stuck in one of these things allthe time 😁😁 thanks boys for keeping her going.
It's been 22 years since I have been driving over the road coast to coast and listening to this was like burning my finger and putting it in ice? Kind of a calming confusion and peaceful feeling ¿¿¿¿ boy like miss my Peterbilt
Whatever happened to radio decency I miss the good old days,I remember back in the day turning that radio on,and hearing nothing but silence on Channel 19 it was always reserved for the important shit, unless of course there was something genuine to talk about, and still then you just made the initial on 19 and took it down a channel .whatever happened to truck drivers driving their own shit, nowadays they want to drive everybody else's to get the expletive expletive expletive out of here.
I agree Don, I started driving truck back in the 80s, and things have really really changed quite significantly when it comes to attitudes on the highway
Reasons for this: -The right lane goes onto the shoulder, which is not designed to handle the weight of a fully loaded truck. -The right lane is typically not level, and can throw a truck off course, causing an accident. -The lanes are not wide enough to fit trucks side by side Trucks stay left (unless exiting), Cars stay right. Traffic would move better. I know this is obvious, but clearly it isn’t.
Ronald T what are you talking about? Ever seen the black and white sign on highways that say left lane for passing only? Faster vehicles are suppose to be in the left lane son.
I'm a over the road driver and I don't get uptight or bothered in any way if I see another driver using the wrong lane. I just try to be as safe as possible myself and obey the laws and be courteous to other drivers. If a driver is in the wrong lane it's no skin off my back.
@@johnpulawski35 Yes they should. However, as long as they aren't putting me in danger, I'm not going to make a big issue out of it. I see drivers doing that all of the time. That's on them if they make that choice.
@@carlinanderson2605 From a comment above: -The right lane goes onto the shoulder, which is not designed to handle the weight of a fully loaded truck. -The right lane is typically not level, and can throw a truck off course, causing an accident. -The lanes are not wide enough to fit trucks side by side
Well doofus brain, that's illegal, it's called impeding traffic and you're not supposed to do it. It's not up to you to try to be a road police wannabe, let the real cops handle it or they will give you a ticket for it.
Most drivers only turn it on when something comes up. Traffic wreck scale etc. I've been off the road for 3 yrs but i figure its probably about the same.
@@bluecollarbiker8005 yea i had uncles and brothers who were drivers in the 70s and 80s. Heard lots of stories. I drove from 2006 to 2017. Didn't look much like the stories I'd heard. I did enjoy driving though.
Well some drivers are intelligent in their talking and use the English language correctly and of course there is the ones who use lower course of gutter language. Truckers , lets lead in our everyday walk and talk.. over and out...🚛🚌🚌...
I got bord with my gmrs radio and i paid for $70 for 10 years on my license a and i have a midland mxt 115 gmrs radio $160 im talking to same people evryday my girl ,...so i meet a truck driver and ask me about my antenna Nd itold him about my radio on i-5 in lost hills and he told me get a cb if i travel alot from sfo to san diego most of the time
running the right lane when restricted is a $200 fine plus court costs, it is considered a traffic control device its same as running a red light. 10 points on your csa score and dl points in Ohio. so 4 wheelers can kiss my donkey.
Not Cool, couple months back on the PA Northeast Ext there is a no truck/bus in the right Lane thru the construction zone it is pretty time tight and traffic was rolling fine, but there were a couple Tractor Trailer Drivers flying up the right lane. Had to be extra careful in the bus with guys doing that.
Is this in South Carolina on I-20 Before you get to Columbia I know the signs through there say trucks use left lane and the interstate is split like it is in this video
