Before we had cell phones, this is how we communicated in high school. All of us hung out had a CB radio. I had a cobra 21 LTD with about a 400 W linear amplifier. boy, could she talk . I miss those days.
Just watched your video and wanted to say it taught me a bunch. I have a few PRO 510XL CB radios with the internal speaker not working. I plugged in an external speaker and works fine. Would you say its the same issue you had being the audio chip ?
Hey there bud, hope the video does help you out a lot. Thank you for watching ☺️ I would say if you're plugging in an external speaker and you're getting sound but without an external speaker it's not working. It sounds like it could be the internal speaker? I would start with that. Usually when the audio chip goes you won't receive any audio at all transmit or receive. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes
I had a cb shop in Houston and I can't believe you didn't clean off that rust, and doesn't anyone know what a solder suckered is ,I always put a not in the hot wire ,but that's just me ,some of that rust may come loose and short out something
When I commented on the hot wire on the uniden 510 ,speaker i spelled not wrong, I feel so stupid, sorry, these spell check systems on the new smart phones and the small letters are a drag, and my fingers are kinda fat, so that's that,I'm in my 70,s now and the eyes aren't so good,I really like the c.b. videos and miss working on radios and other things, keep it up bro I dig yours and other radio guys God Bless and 73,s to you
I have the same radio. It's a good radio by the way. Number 1 is shield number 2 audio 3 is transmit 4 is receive if you look at the female plug they should be numbered on the very front now most of them should be one number one is shield number two is white. Three is red and four is black. Hopefully this helps you out but let me know. Thanks for watching
