I have a 1993 Honda prelude with the same steering wheel as this accord and I could not find a single video on RU-vid with someone removing the non airbag version, thankfully I found this video of an accord
Sometimes these cars when the window molding gets old you get gaps like the one I have on the upper left side on the drive side, driving it’s fine but it’s leaks water when sitting and that’s why the fabric on the door panels comes off when the water melts the old glue
Good video. I’m curious, can the ac controls be moved lower so the radio can sit higher? I put in a KENWOOD double din and it is hard to see the screen.
If you’re good at customizing. Meaning. Fiber glass hondo and paint it can be done. But what I did years ago was get a radio with a flip out screen. That worked perfect. You can use the switches then flip it out. It rested just under the vents.
Yo what happened to the this car lol I got a cb7 with a h22 swap and 5 lug swap and I’m literally dealing with that water shit too. Did you ever find out why the water kept coming in?
yes. there are different reasons. In the front the windshield molding or seal could be damaged. 2 check by where the door wires come in sometimes that rubber wears out and finally on the passenger side sometimes the ducks get clogged up with leaves. you can check this by removing the cover under the windshield wipers, its black. if it gets clogged water will rise and go in through a vent. In the rear is similar. Windshield seals usually get compromised.
Dude I'm jelly was it hard to swap the h22 in it I would love any tips I'm working on pimping out my cb7 or k swap which I know is alot harder but I like the k to
Johnny Wooten not at all it fits right in. The only thing you have to do is get a chipped ecu, and connect the vtec also a smaller power steering belt so that the pump doesn’t hit the hood. All else plugs in.
@@Jaime.grijalva.official thx bro that makes me feel a little more confident moving forward I'll stay in touch and let u know how it goes gotta take care of these gems ..🤟
Unfortunately around this time there weren’t any readers, on the passenger side there is what looks like a plug in with 2 connectors, I usually put a paper clip, when u do this, the check engine light will blink- a long blink is 10’s short blinks are 1’s. For ex: 2 long blinks and 3 short ones it’s code 23. Just look up the codes. This guy shows you better than I can tell you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tvjfLfc_xz0.htmlsi=ag53O5UIO6YkGuhi
Sounds like it's going to be one sweet car. I'm just trying to replace my dimmer switch and it doesn't appear to be able to be pried out like yours. It looks like that one but it looks like it's just all one piece and I might have to cut it out with a razor knife. Also all my vent pieces won't pop out so easy like yours. Mine are really threatening to break long before they will come out. It all looks just like my car's equipment though. I was initially going to pop out the vent grid just right and up from the dimmer switch, but then there's still the duct in the way. I can't even find one of those switches on AutoZone either. Maybe if I search under a different year in that range.
The dimmer switch just pops out. If you use a flat head screw driver you should be able to see at the bottom of it an indent. That’s where you stick the flat head and pop it out.
@@Jaime.grijalva.official Mine is a `92 Accord 2 door EX. It looks exactly like yours in the video, except for color. My dimmer switch has no visible indent at the bottom and I'm not even sure it's a separate plate from the dash. If it is separate it is such a tight fit that I can't get anything in the gap as it seems to be one piece with just a groove where yours is cut out.
@@WhoWouldWantThisName damn never heard of that and I’ve had a lot of them. If u can send me a picture next week I’ll try to make a video as well how to remove it. But if u can send a nice picture I can have a better idea for you
@@Jaime.grijalva.official Tonight I took a razor knife to the bottom of it and I don't think I actually cut anything but the fit is so precise and tight that it just allowed me to make it so I could fit a controls screw driver (super thin and small flat head) into the bottom, like you did, and pry it out. I was surprised to see the tension clips that hold it are on the sides and not the bottom where you pry from. Anyway I did get it out the way you showed once I could get something in there. Thanks for your help and the video.
Julius Caesar hey you talking about the clogged hoses to drain the water right? Yes that’s what I’m planning on doing once I take the fenders out thanks bro.
IV got a 91 same red guts my steering wheel is beat up I need to change mine..358.000 on it still runs great lil smoke on cold start think it's a valve seat what u think??thx for the reply it's good to here from a fellow cb7 owner any tips would be great same here I know a few things if u don't know shoot me line I'll see if I can help u likewise 🤟
Awesome how are you. Yes the white smoke could be different things. You could have a bit of water from air moisture in the gas I would put some water treatment on it and run it till you run out of gas. If it continues then you can check the engine but start with the cheaper places to rule them out. And yes these cars leak in the trunk. I found out it’s through the trim plugs in the bottom the part that you screw on. If you can uncrew it and take a look make sure it’s not all rotted out. If it is treat it and try to properly seal it.
