Great job. I've got a 93 900, I should have changed the tstat when I rebuilt the carbs....At least it looks possible to change with out pulling the carbs as manual says....
CBR900 is a great motorcycle! I think it's very compact and light in weight. But if it's compact, it's not easy to maintain... I hope it's easy to replace! Thank you for watching the video and commenting!
Hi from Bulgaria. :) Great video it will help me a lot when I must change my thermostat on my 929. :) Can you tell me the signs and symptoms for fail thermostat ? My bike run hot in town (around 100 C) without staying in stop lights (just cruising on a first or second gear - 50-60 km/h). Is these symptom for fail thermostat ? Thanks for good videos I njoy it.
Thanks for watching and comment! Current after the exchange, I use mainly four-speed in (40kmh) in the town, but still will be around 100 C(outside temperature of 25 C) Failure of the thermostat is easy to understand is overheating caused in order not to water flows through the radiator, and Backflow from the reservoir tank when terrible. If you beyond 60kmh does not cool down, failure of the thermostat, the clogging of waterways will be considered. Better had been replaced I think that peace of mind, because it is old bike :) I thank you for reading it through:)
Thank you for posting this video. I just discovered my thermostat may be bad yesterday. Coolant overflows from overflowtank during warmup of bike, engine temp goes up, but fan doesn’t come on, radiator is not hot.
