I love seeing clips like these that I have not seen before. My favorite shows were the Thanksgiving shows. I would be on my 4th plate of the day by the time 11:30 rolled around. I loved trying to guess which pies Mrs. Letterman would bake that year. Another holiday favorite is the Meatball / football/ xmas Tree throw and Jay Thomas' "Lone Ranger " story. Leatherman is German related. Letterman is likely to come from "Leatherman". Many of our nanes were slightly changed generations ago. To easier "American" way as many people were unable to pronunce some names.
