You wouldn’t believe the number of people who ask me, or believe I do have some sort of ESP. I actually was in another program when a little voice I know so well said “ find Gemi and say hello to her and Smokey”. I’m doing well. Except for weeding, the garden is just doing its thing. Not so happy with “all” the rain we are getting, but I don’t have to water as often. Sorry you are experiencing so much heat. Hot humid weather can really take a toll on your body and mind, and on kitties, too ! Have you tried watermelon/strawberry ices or smoothies you can make at home ? You can make them with any fruits you like. Watermelon provides the same goodness that tomatoes do, without the “lectins” when you want something a bit sweet, and you don’t have to add any sugar! I usually drink a mixture of the “ light” purple Gatorade when I’m working outside for 4-5 hours. I mix it 2-1 ( twice as much water to the GatorAde - for hydration. Have you been anywhere interesting, or done anything differently lately ? I guess it’s pretty hard to with the heat. Take care, and know that I think of you and Smokey nearly every day ! Oh, almost forgot- the bunny that is “living” in our yard had two babies about 3-4 weeks ago, and I’ve been feeding mother with carrots. And Freddy, the red squirrel, has become very tame towards both me and my husband? His little fingers are so cute! And, one of the chipmunks eats out of Roger’s hand ! Well, that caught you up - stay hydrated - I found out recently that if one gets headaches in the summer, it can be caused by dehydration. Not all of them, but some. 06-10-24 Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada,, 43* N. I grew up reading Ambrose Bierce. - as soon as I found him ! Even Robert Heinlein quoted from him! There is also “The Devils Dictionary” by him. Weather still the same here - rain and humidity. But there is often a breeze, so not too bad ! Not many nights where you can see the stars or the moon, and too many nights where you can’t see across the road ! Thank goodness for our bedtime stories from Sir Edge ! (Don’t forget to put your chewing gum on the bedpost overnight). Currently 54 degrees - got all the way up to 69*. Goodnight all, 🙏❤🫠 With my head cool upon my pillow, I hope and pray for a better day. But my dreams did thrust and billow, and I’m lost again in “yesterday.”

Hey Catherine ! Hope the weather isn’t doing a number on you ! Twelve hour work days are inhuman, but I know there are some places, like hospitals and others, that are necessary. Keep up the good work. My husband loves sucking on popsicles in hot weather, so he bought a big bag ! Can you believe that unsalted butter is $8..00 here? Stay cool and relaxed !! 💛🫠☺
