Hi, Gemi ! Hope all is well. I did leave an answer to your last question to me, didn’t know if you rec’d it. - sometimes after listening to the story I find myself falling asleep, or nearly so. - I write a comment, but I forget to hit the “send” button.. I did come across your question about my siblings, and all my siblings are still alive - we range from age 59 x to me, 74 this July. I also have an older half brother, 83. My father was married to one of my mother’s older sisters for ten years. They had only one child, a son. Sadly, she passed , and a few years later he married my mother, and my half-brother came to live with us. He was 9 when I was born. Hope you are coping with all the scattered weather changes. Even I am having days where I can’t put in my five or six hours doing gardening (vegetables) and yard work. I’m just trying to do what I can do. Roger has been working on building a Mission craft desk of quarter-sawn oak, and his workshop is luckily very cool in the basement. I feel very fortunate that Roger has so many skills and a very creative mind. He has had to return to see the cardiac surgeon, and they want to do more tests - one of which is a small computerized heart detector test that he has to wear taped to him on his chest for 2 weeks. The Doctor is concerned there is a small part ( a nerve that needs to correct the proper speed of the heart and has been fluctuating radically for sometime now. This has nothing to do with requiring a pace-maker, but specialized open heart surgery where they can go in, find the nerve, and be able to cut that nerve. We are trying not to let ourselves worry, but it’s hard. Roger has always been there for me, and I want to be by his side and help him in any way i can. I’m so very appreciative of our genuine love and caring we each have for the other, having reached our ages, and still blessed after making mistakes in life, to have had the 41 years that seemed to fly by. My husband gave me an Anniversary card this past year that said: “the years don’t just fly by, they dance by with you”. I have been so touched by his many heart-felt expressions of his love for me. Each time in our forty-one years, through all my surgeries for all the cancers and other long term illnesses I have had, he would always go outside to the conservation area we used to walk, and pick me a posey of wild flowers, put them in a small glass next to my side of the bed so I could see them first whenever I could open my eyes. I don’t want to seem greedy, but I pray we can have a few years or more to look forward to continue living in a life blessed by our love for each other. It’s a life not always found attainable in our society. Im sorry if I have bothered you with this. There have been the odd night or nights, that I haven’t been able to do anything on the computer because of “bad” health issues to do with me. I just didn’t want to bother others. I know they would have been unaware of the “whys”, but I just wanted to do the few things like thisI I just wanted to thank you for all the friendship and kindnesses you have extended to me - I have really appreciated that very much and I’m rooting for you to find the same kind of relationship you have so longed to experience with another. You have sometimes expressed things that bring a big smile to my face, and I just wanted to let you know how much I’ve appreciated that too ! Hope your weather there doesn’t become too intolerable, and hoping, as always, you are able to sleep well and have many marvels left in your own life dreams - a life free from unpleasant things.! Perhaps your one will ride in on the horse sporting your colours !! I feel very obliged to people like Doc, Catherine, and especially Sir Edge and you and others who have come to my defence more than once, and I am grateful to them all. @@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc No worries, I understand. Two weeks ago I had to go to the ER, felt like really bad flu - both ways . Took five days to get out of bed, and that’s a lot for me. I couldn’t keep anything down. I did have it once years ago, and they said if you have, you can again. Sorry my mind went blank on the name, but there have been a lot here with it. Please take good care - I’m sorry you don’t have someone to help you, or maybe you have a friend that could look in on you. I’m adding you to my prayers, and thank you for replying. I think of you as a dear friend, and I’m sorry my last reply was so long. Even though I have a partner, my husband, it is so scary when you’re just not sure what will happen. 06-25-24. Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada, 43* N. A lovely Roberta Maxwell, with a lovely sexy voice. Love Sam Dan’s stories - wish he had published all the stories he wrote. I think Sam was a very keen observer of people, and society itself. I really found the comment near the end , where Teddy speaks of looking for where, and from whom, our civilization might have come from. There’s a very strong argument being made in science just now that it’s possible, maybe even probable, that the Annunaki were the ones responsible for our “existence” ( but not as our Creator, who has made the Cosmos). Sam may have known more than he’d ever let on, or let his imagination take a walk on the far-side - who knows ? Writers are usually very well read because of their strong interest in wanting to “ know”, and who knows where his interests took him? Certainly, his mind was a very active one and his imagination was creatively very productive. Hope everyone sleeps well and enjoys pleasant peaceful dreams ! 🙏 Thank you once again Sir Edge for another bedtime story that has at least peaked my imagination - I can always find that here !!
