A woman's dreams run parallel to her fantasies and she tells her psychologist of her visions of herself as a Viking maiden promised to wed a potbellied farmer- and the Nordic warrior in pursuit to rescue her.
I'm 67 and reside in the Great state of Texas, however from the years of '83 to '90, I lived outdoors in California and Nevada, and had no other media available except radio, and on many long and lonely nights I rejoiced in listening to late night programs that would fade in and out and kept me in suspense in more ways than y'all might realize! Thanks to programs like this great one here, makes me appreciate these stories all that much more! ( And they don't fade out), so, thanks and God bless from Paris tx.4/3/24
@@junipercreekranch9791 It was an adventure for sure! After separation from my wife in Nevada, I quit renting and ended up camping in my car on State Park unimproved camp site on the way to Tahoe, with a creek running through it providing me with water for drinking and bathing. There was a plank someone had set across the water so you could hold on to it and dip into the water get out, scrub down and dip to rinse... Mind you this was snow melt from the Sierra's, brrr..If you'd like me to continue, just say the word! Thanks for asking
I'm loving these stories. Seems like I'm busier in my permanently unemployable status than I was when I was still sometimes employable. (Retirement implies enough discretionary income, and a couple of people to share it with, to enjoy getting around a bit. Hehehe, fat chance.) It's lovely to be piled up all clean and tidy here in my comfortable bed listening to engaging stories. The only time I can actually relax and enjoy the home I work so hard to keep going is after 11 pm, then I get hooked and next time I notice the time is as dawn approaches. Wash, rinse, repeat. I do have a mustang I'm trying to tame well enough to allow me to ride him, meanwhile, a thing of beauty is truly a joy forever. Thanks for handing me such a nice escape after the poop and excitement of my days. 🏇😁
Marian Seldes was a member of the drama faculty of The Julliard School from 1967-1991. Her students included, Robin Williams, Christopher Reeves, Kelsey Grammer, Kevin Spacey and Val Kilmer.
Hope you feel better tonight and had a good sleep. It seems Marian Seldes was in very good company at Juilliard ! I have been impressed by her roles in these stories ! Hope you and Smokey have pleasant dreams tonight !☺🙏❤ I will finally have a whole afternoon tomorrow for just myself, so I’m going to read ! 🫠
@@lynnrobinson8885Thank you so much for your concern. I'm feeling a lot better. I got plenty of rest last night. I hope that you and your husband are doing well. Tonight's episode sounds like a good one. Good night 🌃 and pleasant dreams, my friend ❤😊
Good to hear! We are doing alright. This year is the first I’ve started to really feel my age a little and I have taken note. I’m slowing down a little, it comes to all of us, and I will listen to my body. Take care, my good friend ! I’m always just a “reply” away. 🤗@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc
Thanks for asking about my husband and I. We’ve been feeling a little less tired now that we can finally get out on our long walks on the conservation trails. We decided to wait until all the slippery ice was gone. We both find that walking makes us feel more energetic , and one doesn’t need to do long walks - even short ones can invigorate one. Take care, my dear !☺
04-03-24 A Sam Dann, so it must be good ! Listening, on a very cold night again, from Southern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦, 43* N. Have had a small cup of cocoa and am looking forward to my bedtime story from Sir Edge. Cats are both settled in, and the house dark and all is quiet. Hope all are well, have a good night and have pleasant dreams ! ( I usually remember two or three.) Goodnight, my friends ! 🙏❤🫠
Totally agree with you about Sam! Also what a lovely picture you paint in words, I can just picture your contented cats and the mug of cocoa! It's how I feel too when listening to these too.
Good night all from Kennewick Washington and thank you once again for sharing these wonderful stories and memories to help me fall asleep nearly every single night
I made it boy I will tell you what I made it. Thank goodness.. Thank you for this American freedom Edge one mile above some silly rising water line.. I can hear some old wonderful static in the back ground from the past in the future from my youth in my old age. Bitching or macabre?
There's an old book from around 1960 entitled THEY ALL DISCOVERED AMERICA by Charles M. Boland. It contains condiderable material on the Vikings in North America. Dated some by now, of course but still quite interesting.
EG, listed everyone except the real indigenous people of America. They have been reclassified over and over. Today, we are call "Black". We are The American Indians and it is the reason we are mistreated. It is our country.
