Every Bulls player & fan needs to pray that Billy Donovan gets offered that college coaching job & takes it. Last night's loss was another prime example as to exactly why the Bulls have reached their peak with Billy Donovan. I honestly feel there's no more he can do as the Bulls Head Coach to improve anything or anybody on this Bulls team anymore. Billy Donovan needs to go back to coaching college kids where he has been most successful.

If Billy Donovan is going back to College he should do it now instead of waiting until like 100 like Larry Brown ending up in a Mid-Major. If he wants a fresh start and 1 more run on the big stage and Kentucky comes calling that's his chance. Seems to me he is only delaying the inevitable staying at Chicago. If it's true Donovan contract is 6 million a year Kentucky can pay more than that, but it's unknown how much his extension is worth. As Kentucky fan I think Donovan should be the first call made. I can't say how likely it is or not can't put a number on it ranges from anywhere from unlikely to likely to everything in between. For all I know Kentucky might not even call him being burnt by Donovan twice before, but the circumstances have changed now so who knows.

IF a serious offer came to Billy...as in its his job with money to meet or exceed what he's getting now...all things being equal imo he'd be foolish to no take the job. He's had much better success at the collegiate level and when moving to the pros you typically want to enjoy some of the same. Billy has not come close to enjoying real success in the NBA and is struggling to be a .500 guy. And he must know the Bulls aren't doing much under him in the near future. Should he fail this team even if he stays he may be hard pressed to get an NBA head coaching offer again once gone and even if so I don't expect it would be spectacular or offer much job security. He can choose to be a middling head coach in a half arsed Adam Silver run NBA or lead a program in the venerable and thriving NCAA and perhaps relive some past glories. Sometimes "going back" is the best way forward. Should the offer come for the good of the Bulls I hope he's smart enough to take it.

The Bulls do desperately need to draft a new Center in the upcoming NBA Draft. Sometimes the greatest thing a team can do to motivate a player to be better is the chance that their Starting spot will be threatened moving forward.

They have not “saved shit” I agree 100 % , they thought they had it before Lonzo went down, but no back up plan now, maybe they are still in shock over the Lonzo injury - Vuc not much to say there not looking good, Vuc gets rebounds on size only not much effort - good job as always Haize

Vooch is a big problem! The type of guy we really need is Daniel Gafford, he was the one we let get away. Vooch doesn't offer lib dunks or blocks. The only way an aging vooch can be effective now is to start nailing 37-40% 3pt %. He is a long way off that. He needs to be held accountable for his performance who cares how much money he is paid...bench him. Whilst Drummond is a good backup, he has more upside and I would even prefer running Javonte at centre he would still be more effective. We need a gafford type out of the draft

Billy was never the right fit in my opinion and him leaving is well over due, the team aint winning and the team isn't tanking, and Derozan will probably walk now because they refused to trade him and still haven't came up with a good contract for the man please leave Billy so that i can finally watch a Bulls game again with actual hope

I think the only reason Billy might accept is if AKME says that they're not paying DeMar what he wants and letting him and Drummond walk. Given that Zach is still looking to get out it'd mean having to essentially coach through a rebuild, something Billy did not want to do in OKC where they had a better starting position. He came to Chicago because it was being sold to the league as a win now team. He's not going to want to be coaching a 24 win season for two years because if he was willing to do that he would have stayed in OKC.

Kentucky fan here. Don't see Billy the Kid getting the Kentucky job because of the Bulls still playing. With NIL and needing to build a roster Kentucky can't wait 2-3 weeks or more for him to be free. Would assume the job is filled between Friday -Monday.

Billy at GM would be horrible, makes zero sense at any point in time, hasn’t developed one player he’s drafted as the bulls coach, only strength Billy has is choosing which gum he wants to chew before he watches his team lose sticking with the same game plan and making zero adjustments, Billy is a horrible coach

Not necessarily horrible and it would get him out of the coach's seat and one step closer to gone, perhaps. If Marc were to go and I were AK I'd "promote" Billy to the front office in a heartbeat and bring in fresh blood to lead the locker room.

As I've been saying over & over again for the longest time, great coaching is hugely important for NBA teams to be successful. The Bulls haven't had any success besides barely winning 1 playoff game over the past 3 seasons under Billy Donovan as the Head Coach. It's time for AK, Marc Eversley, & the Reinsdorfs to wake tf up & move on. The Bulls desperately need to start fresh with a new Head Coach because Billy Donovan has shown us again & again, Billy Donovan ain't it.

Haize, Yes, Vooch has been having a horrible season this year. We all know that. But do you honestly think there's any possibility that Vooch can come out this slump & much like Ayo, improve next season? Or is it just time for the Bulls to move on from Vooch by any means necessary?

I think Vooch can still be effective in the right scenario for sure. He’s not completely cooked. I think we get a PF next to him or a SF that doesn’t take up the same space as he likes to be on offense and he can still help

@@ChiBullsCentral That means we should be able to possibly trade him, too. At 20m a season a team in need of an experienced big with other pieces in place might see his contract as fairly reasonable. At the deadline next year 20m dollars for one year of service from a guy like Vooch might look nice enough to some🤔Hang onto him for cheap for another season beyond that, too.

The problem for Thibs was that he played players to a ground during the regular season and then the Bulls played flat in the playoffs. It's no surprise that Thibs has had a winning record in the regular season. But playoff success? Not so much, right.

He rarely gave young players minutes and stiffled development. I don't remember any players emerging and contributing outside of jimmy and Omer asik but asik was a useful 7 footer

Stifled development? Taj, Jo, Jimmy, Omir, CJ Watson all developed considerably under Thibs. The problem was the team was so good the front office didn’t go a good job with the lower picks and choosing talent.

Right, all guys who were a part of his rotation off the jump. My point was outside of the set rotations, I don't remember anyone developing, it was over a decade ago though. Yea, the f/o was trash, but it seems like thibs is doing the same over in New york

None of those guys were even part of the roster from the jump outside of Noah. You can't take away developing someone becuase they were part of the roster he still had tk identify how and the best ways to use them to develop them. Most those guys also came with huge question marks on how productive they were and weren't nearly as productive after they left the Bulls.

High level college programs pay their head coaches a lot of money because the coaches run everything. Basically college coach is is being the GM, president and coach of a NBA team all at once.
