I'm 51 and remember watching this movie on TV when I was around 9 or 10 at my aunts house. . That memory just stuck with me ever since. I can't find the movie anywhere now. Im pretty sure this is where I first heard the expression of becoming a "vegetable." , If I could see the movie again then I'd know for sure.
When this happened to her she was 13 years old, I was 15, in Florida, but I don't remember hearing about it until 3 years later in 1980. She was on "The Mike Douglas Show" along with Debby Boone and Scott Baio. I forget when I read the book. It came on television October 1981, 2 days after I turned 20. I was kind of fascinated by her story.
the best part was when she was talking with mom and she said I don't want to hear what you DON'T want. I wanna hear what you DO want. mrs. miller had a point. if we focus on our negativities and don't look past, we will never move forward
I’ve never watched this TV movie before because I remember watching other movies that aired back on CBS during the time when the network once shown, lots of movies made for television back then but I never saw this movie before.
