Hard driven can overhand receive and doesn't need to worry about doubling. It's based on whether it's a reaction or if the person could have time to control the contact without using fingers, so that can be a little subjectively determined. That one seemed totally OK
Good ball being played there! I've never played a CBVA tournament. (I live in Minnesota) No refs at all? Is it a money tournament? What was first place?
No refs for CBVA tournaments, other teams in the tournament ref the games. The top division in CBVA (called open) gives money, I think those are usually $1500 prize pools, and first takes like $400 each player. This was the finals for a AA (one division below open), so no money here. Winning this just gave me the highest CBVA rating, which honestly doesn't help except for higher seeding in opens.
@@aaronli9 I don't see any refs at all for your game. Is it only in open where the players ref? Our top leagues around here don't have refs. Our money 2's tournaments don't have refs either. In the finals there are always players watching and if your set is iffy you'll hear it with coughs etc. ha ha.
