If you can start at the overlook and make your way down into the canyon, that’s the best option for this trail. It’s one-way at 1.4 miles. You’ll see bridges built by the CCC along the trail and hike through each of the geologic layers that make up the canyon.
It’s a 500 foot descent so be ready for it
