Yep. Totally agree here. I got the AS-V pro last year, and the V taper on the shaft made stick handling much more difficult. Don’t care for the shaft taper one bit, and ended up going with the FT6 Pro instead. Greatt vid here. Thanks for the honesty!

This stick releases bombs. Absolutely no issues with blade. Strong and durable and stick is lighter than last asv. They've definitely improved it this year.

Just a heads up - CCM's change to the blade with the "helicoid" inserted pad makes the blade much less durable. There's reports all over the internet from Trigger 8 Pros etc. blades breaking.

I've seen another stick reviewer that broke the blade (cracked 3/4 of the way to the heel) on both the FT Ghost and the AS6 Pro stick within 10 games. Well, I just broke my FT Ghost blade in the same spot with about the same amount of play. Seems like CCM has re-introduced some durability issues in the new line with this xsoft blade.

Maybe you’re just not used to the stick, so the stick handling isn’t great. Even Zegras had a hard time stick handling with Patrick Kanes stick, probably just wasn’t used to it.

Zegras had a hard time stick handling with Kane’s stick because of the curve, not the actual stick. They said in the video they’re using the same curve

New helicoid blade does NOT last breaks so easy my kid and another 3 kids broke this stick 4 days Into hockey camp kidd are 12 ..ridiculous when u are paying so much it should last. It's a good stick but o ly has a 1 week
