Awesome job mate looks great. I was gonna do this but it looked like a hard job so i just brought a screen off eBay and installed it does the same job without the AUX. 🙏🏽🙂
Thanks buddy. It isn’t too bad really, but if you haven’t had a go it can be daunting. Glad you’ve got a screen anyway 🙂 totally changes the look of the interior imo!
In my situation distance data lost every time i disconnect the display power cable. Cant understand, why your data remains. Also the air ventilation lost every time turn off the ignition, so I have to disconnect and plug it in back to make it work again.
Ive got the CD70Navi and colour screen in an 08SRi petrol- it had 50k on it in 2017 it now has 104k its been a total trooper but i dont expect it to go more than 120k, for a £6 cable its worth installing the aux - the cd70 navi was out of a signum hopefully it has the aux on the menu
If the Signum was 2007+ then it should have Aux function. If not I think a firmware update on them would enable the feature. I’ve never done a firmware update on one before however.
It will install and work the same yeah, but the surround for the screen is slightly different at the bottom. It’s flatter on your current surround but the cd70 facelift surround isn’t. It still fits the same though to answer your question 💪🏼
If the screen and stereo aren’t coming from the same car, I.e you have a screen already in your car, and want to put the stereo in from another car, you will need to essentially ‘marry’ the two together using a Vauxhall Tech2 device. You’ll have to find someone who has that device and able to do it. So it’s usually better to just get a paired screen and stereo together as then it’s plug and play.
It's a RGB that connects the head unit to display not RCA. The RGB cable costs £140 from main dealer. Just bought one of these units. Looking forward to installing.
Yeah if the screen and unit have came from the same car, they will be plug and play into your car. If the screen is from a different car to the unit (cd70 bit) then it would need coding together with Tech2
