From Lincoln, Montana follow me along the CDT through Helena, Anaconda, and into Darby. Check out some of our favorite backpacking gear here: amzn.to/34QK7mt
Joe, this is Gunner aka Tear Drop from "New 2 The Wild"....I have followed all of your hikes. I just moved to Colorado...Let me know how I can help you bro. I can come bring you some food when you come through my area. I am in the Rockies now. You could also lay up here for a few days if need be.
I had just said to myself "I'd be fishing those lakes" when the next frame showed fishing. Another great video. Thanks for posting and taking us along. I would pay pal you a donation if I could just go through pay pal. Do you have a pay pal account?
There are so many beautiful places to fish up here. It's great. I do have PayPal. I have it linked to a donate button on the left hand side of my website (backcountrybanter.com) Thanks!
Joe, following some other people on the CDT and they choose not to flip and got forced off the trail because of some real bad conditions. Looks like it was a smart idea to flip.
Nice work Joe, looks like some great squirrel-aide energy drink. You guys are plowing into the Bitterroots next which should be amazing. I fish the upper Madison river near Raynolds Pass frequently from my home in Bozeman. Hope your enjoying the cooler weather and thunderstorms this week. Buttskid signing out.
So the real reason to filter your water from streams isn't giardia or e. coli, but thru-hiker-sporidium? Just remember, those squirrels thought they were just going to cool off for a minute, too.
I think Montana is pretty beautiful. How many miles do you have to go and where is the point you decided to go from north to south? Thanks for sharing. All the best, Christian from Germany
Though some of these trails are nice, many feel as if they are never hiked. Occasionally the trail will just disappear into nothingness for a mile or so. It's actually fun to navigate through though.
