History of the Bay Podcast Ep. 20: Ceav has been an active graffiti writer since the 1990s. Coming out of Oakland, he was influenced by older writers like Mike Dream and Serf TMP. Known for his original style, tireless work ethic, and large-scale pieces, Ceav tries his best to stay humble, show love to upcoming writers, and continue to do what he loves. At the same time, he doesn't shy away from conflict and breaks down how he's handled graffiti beef over the years. Ceav is also one of the founding members of 640, a crew that's grown in large numbers and put in work all over the Bay Area.

Moved back to Oakland after living out of state for 15 yrs, first night i was painting n looking at graff with a homie on e14th, Ceavr rolled up and gave my homie props for some flicks he took, and gave me a warm “welcome back” to town. Bro is an bay area Icon, dope interview.

Mike Dream was a friend of mine. I used to see him walk up to kids at Psycho City, ask them if he could use their cans, then off the top of his head, with no outline, bust a sick piece like nothing. He was all love, even to toyz like me. RIP Mike Dream. Also shouts to Bay legends King Razor, Dug One and TMF Crew, Crayone TWS, and Twist One. I feel blessed I got to see all those guys in action.

Noone gets up in more spots than Ceav. Straight up. Every room in juvenile hall including boys control, he was hit up in, every bus in santa rita! Under every bridge and overpass in the bay. Dude gets around hits up every place he goes

CEAVE 640 is a legend as a bay area bomber...he IS a legend in the Yay. Respect him for his longevity too...I'm 46 now...DISKO 594n in the Bay, to this day... early in the mornin' when the sun goes to sleep When the birds start to chirp And crackheads go to sleep... Boots Riley said it best...shit is the perfect time to go bombing. Got my SG7 with mixed magenta ink on my 5 AM bike rides...and at that hour? Cops, joggers, and crazy folks...I just know that I'm one of 'em...definitely not the po-po tho. Right on R...I stay up with E...DISKO ONE...stay up like a tow truck mayne.

Another amazing show from what will go down as a legendary podcast. Shout out for mentioning Serf TMP (RIP). As someone who moved from the east to by the lake summer of 1986, Serf aka Tony X was pretty much my idol. He was one of the few guys getting up in 86' between the Lake and Park blvd along Mac Arthur (Beside Del85 aka Phresh MDH who was all city) I actually met Serf in the mid 90s with Ceav of all people. Another funny memory this brought back was around 1994 or 95, there was a rumor that Ceav had inhaled too much krylon, and has gone crazy. And THATS why he was getting up so much 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Went to Hayward High with Ceav in the 90’s. He would get up anywhere and everywhere throughout the Bay Area.. Like “damn, how’d he get all the way up there?” lol ! again, this was in the 90s our teenage years. Definitely ahead of his time and next level with the graffiti.

Met Ceav back in 93 in SF or The Town possibly rackin not sure I was more into writing on muni hitting yards and watching our tags on buses and some streets CEAV iS the Town but to this day all over Nor Cal even been on the bus to Bruno with him and hittin up on the blue bird anywho he hit PE and I got in 640
