She has a strong and heavy voice ,one of the only voices that comes close to Whitney’s voice and that makes sense the two did learn from each other coming up in the industry together. They both on my top 5 female vocalist list🔥🥰
Her Father said it and I agree. They both have similar voices but use it differently. I recommend her RU-vid channel where she talk about her and Whitney's relationship. It was very informative
Listennnn she is sooooooo constant. Her voice is so comforting & warm like you said. She's my absolute favorite. I don't care what she sings. And LIVE! WHEW. I saw her live before I was blown away.
Best selling female gospel artist of all time, I always found it crazy that her singing is more simple. You know without a super high range and not doing a million runs... I think ppl just love simplicity and the rawness
I totally agree with you! I always tell people, runs, riffs and multi octave ranges are all great. But if you have a strong, clear, resonant voice with a stunningly beautiful tone, like Cece, people forget about all the vocal acrobatics. There's a reason why she's the best selling female gospel artist of all time.🙂
It deeply aggravates me how slept on CeCe Winans is. It blows my mind. The artists should've been looking to CeCe all the years. She's the GOAT! No question. Thank you for doing this. We need more CeCe content.
Yes! CeCe is the Queen! CeCe, the iconic vocal masterclass that she is, chooses when to use those melismatic, vibrato vocal nuances that she is known for. The placement of her quick runs, and even when she chooses to sing in her higher range, is what makes her so special. Never over or underdone, truly in the pocket each and every time. She almost teases us when she chooses to give all she has. It's almost like she's reminding us, "Don't forget I am CeCe Winans." Humbly, of course 😂 Love her simplicity and intentional, subtle choices which adds depth to the simplicity-- plus a reminder that she can go AWF when she wants to. Her voice is a reflection of her life: keep the main thing the main thing. We should always appreciate that she is giving us this beautiful gift of her ministry while she still wants to.
I didn't know I needed this song until you introduced it. I'm going through some trying times and needed a message of hope. Keep doing what you do Jaron... you're helping folks in ways you didn't plan to.
I’d love to see you do a side by side analysis/reaction to her original studio recording of Alabaster Box from 1999 and her live version from 2021’s Believe For It album. It’s INCREDIBLE!
She sounds better now that she is older Maybe she should have had a voice coach earlier in her career....much better much better ....I'm not a big fan of hers she does sing good
I’ve had the awesome opportunity to see her live at a church concert. I kid you not.. she sounds EXACTLY the same! There’s so much power in her voice.. so speechless. What a gift!
Yes!! Mrs. CeCe. One of my favorite songs on the album. Her voice is so distinctive. Almost like BeBe. It is almost like you can hear them singing before they start.
Hello, I have never seen you before until today, and just want to say I love you 😊 you're amazing in what you do I have never heard of anyone analyzing songs before you are a breath of fresh air where you're not tearing no one down, but instead bringing out the best in people. I so wish I could sing I have always loved singing, and wished God blessed me with a voice to do it. I soo love Cece, and this amazing song which helped me this year to make it through some touch times that came up suddenly in my life. I have subscribed to your channel, be blessed!
She is so under-rated I am so glad that you covered this! Please please please would you consider breaking down "Speak the Name" by Koryn Hawthorne Hawthorne and Natalie Grant at the Dove Awards. Also Cece Winans and Vanessa Williams remind me so much of one another. I think it's, like you said, the way they sing so eloquently and well, perfect in ways. Both so confident and magical to listen to. Thx so much!
Love, love Cece and her voice is awesome. You are right about her voice. She a mighty spiritual giant in the Kingdom of God . .She also reaches beyond the church. It changes people's live ,what and anointing.
I miss your introduction!😭😭😭 I love how you highlighted this awesome woman of God and this album which is an amazing album! She poured her all on this album.
I feel that she’s had some classical training as well cause she has this well developed alto voice that is so beautiful in a world where sopranos shine
@@bkkersey93 have you heard phil perry ft cece winans gods gift to the world it will being tears to your eyes how she sang she sounded similar to whitney
@@bkkersey93 yes especially around E5 in the gods gift to the world when sustaining belts D#5-E5 i cried shes like the new school mahalia jackson you can tell she adores god sm
@darionstrickland3175 Bro that's the truth on that note. Cece was nothing to play with back then! Even on Anybody Wanna Pray from 2001 she hit this crazy note. Unfortunately she just never sang high constantly so people just don't know.
That was really awesome. You have a beautiful voice, I would love to hear you sing more. You have such an anointing on your voice and life. Let God have his way with you. Keep up the great job that you're doing.
Will you please do a song of your own choosing and “analyze that” please!! You’re awesome. I just love listening to you break down these amazing singer🙏🏽. Call me old & old fashioned but I’ve never watched or heard a gift like yours in action🙏🏽 WOW💙
Pure angelic the only one that can go toe to toe with Whitney and sometimes you could not tell them apart but let me make it clear she has a younger sister named Debbie who is also like her vocal twin but just a darker color but will rip you and slay you and vocal acrobat you around under over and every Which way but loose a vocal acrobat beast yes her baby sister Debbie but the whole wine is family is just incomparable it just just lyrical angelical vocal angels from above 🙌💫🙏😇
Thank you jeron for being patient with my voice texting because some of my words they come out incorrectly not because I'm spelling them that way it's because when you voice text into the mic they don't always pick up the way that you speak into them sometimes the mic just has its own way again so thank you for being kind and patient and understanding knowing that I'm saying one thing even though it's coming out another way 🗣️🤗❤️
Always your love your reactions and analysis, very educational, your ear is on another level level it comes to paying attention to details, very adore. I dare to to react to "HLE - You are" she's a South African 🇿🇦 artist that's just signed up with MOTOWN GOSPEL....First in Africa, she's the vocal Bible in her own right, please check her videos.
Love your positivity and mostly the Christian songs that you cover. Natalie Grant performed "My Weapon" at the Dove awards as well, I'd love to see you analyze that one!
Loved your analysis on this song, please consider reviewing Ntokozo Mbambo - Jehova Is Your Name, Hle - You Are, and Benjamin Dube feat Hle - The Only One
Love all of your videos! I 'just' discovered your channel and I'm hooked! Can you do an analysis of Jesus Saves by Marvin Winans & The Perfected Praise Choir? Please & thank you!
Thank you for this review. So educational and enjoyable. A request please, if I may: please have a listen to the song "Who Am I" by a South African gospel group.'Joyous Celebration '. I suspect you would be pleasantly moved.
Can you react to the video on RU-vid , of Rance Allen x I Bind You Up ( Live). This is the least you can do since I can’t get singing lessons because you’re booked up 😆🔥
Cece "In The Pocket" Winans! Also I agree that she and Whitney are almost vocal twins. I'll never forget when they both were going for it when they were singing Count On Me in Japan (I believe). They were both going for crazy belts and they sounded SOOOOOOO similar! Their vibratos have a very similar speed/oscillation and their tones at times are very similar. I think in her prime Whitney had more range, but Cece has maintained hers over the years. Found the video! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WjDeinC3UQg.html
I love your videos Jaron!! I appreciate how much effort you put in going into detail about technique and whats going on internally. It brings joy to my day to watch you!!! I aspire to be a fellow vocal coach and teacher of vocal pedagogy. And, I just saw this video of Tina Campbell performing “Thank You Lord” and just know you would get a shout out of it! Here’s the link… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EbTz5b7XLCE.html Thanks for always being you!!! -Aaron
And so now jaron you know you can't do CC without doing BB 🤣 and then how about putting in a request for the fabulous none other than then comparable Miss Vicky winans 🧚 how about just the the whole winans family 🗣️🎶🙌🤩😇
Auntie Cece is a legend in every sense, and one of the most controlled singers in the world in my opinion! This was so dope to watch and learn from! Love your breakdowns brother...especially love seeing the tide turn in singer culture, where trained and highly educated voices like yourself give honor to the whole of singer styles, especially Black varieties (which, if anyone reading this doesn't already know, typically are seen as "second-class" and "less skilled" in academia.) YOU ARE A GIFT! I don't know how backlogged you are on requests, but would love to hear your breakdown of Mykal Kilgore's lead vocals in this Celine Dion cover: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oyiWQ3l66Nk.html
Hey, Jaron M. Legrair. 😊 Thank you so much for this wonderful analysis of Cece's powerhouse song and voice. I was wondering which is Cece's voice? Is she soprano, mezzo? Where would you say her voice falls?
@@jmlegrairstudio Thank you so much, Jaron. You know, I became your subbie ever since I watched your analysis of 'All of My Help' by Ricky Dillard and New G. Listening to how you analysed like a phonetician won me over and you've been consistent since. Keep it up, bro. and God bless you. One question, would you consider mentioning a musician's voice type or range when doing their analysis? I think this would be helpful to us in choirs or worship teams to look up to musicians/ministers ahead and use their sound in our own warmups, etc.?
