I was always curious to hear Cecelia's take on the Alleluia. She did not disappoint! I haven't heard such accuracy with such easy agility in these runs at that speed since I came across sometime back, a 1968 live performance at Tangelwood of Beverly Sills doing it with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. For those who haven't heard it, I'm happy to share it with you. I think you'll like it too. By the way, she performed this at an all Mozart concert. Excellent performance. But still, I would much prefer having the work perform by a boy treble, knowing that the gift a young singer has is shorten to just a year or two before nature changes the ephemeral gift.
