You can still do that. Get a good paying job and then travel to different parks. A good job gives lots of benefits including paid time off, 401k matching, medical/dental insurance, and most importantly, something that will still be paying you until you retire. Doing what they do gets none of those benefits and the RU-vid thing won't last like this for their entire life. Building work experience is most important thing, so you are in better situation than you think. I'm an Aerospace Engineer and have a Sea World platinum pass, fun spot season pass, and Cedar Fair platinum pass.
@@floridamaddogg still wouldn’t be able to go to a different park every week like they do though 😂 I work four 10’s and I still wouldn’t be able to. Partly because I work for a lousy company that’s run by clowns who would rather buy their grandsons brand new 80,000 dollar trucks than pay their employees a fair wage…. Sorry had to rant a little bit lol
If he doesnt step up his game this year he might just be a coaster enthusiast. My rams drafted a similar player a round early and he might not make the team this season. NFL careers are short and its not just because of the injuries.
My sister made those wooden blocks ! She works at the cats meow in wooster/apple creek. Each peice there should be a hidden black cat! We are so excited to see people actually finding the peices and giving their opinion 😄
Fun fact: the people who proposed to build Millennium Force aka the worlds first giga coaster for Cedar Point were Morgan and Intamin. Cedar Point wanted to chose Morgan but due to price they had to pick Intamin so technically Millennium Force was a budget coaster 🤯
I don't really believe that. Morgans are a lot more janky than IntAmIn's. They don't have as good profiling. That's why all the lower-tier Cedar Fair parks got Morgan Hypers while the higher-tier ones got B&Ms.
We usually just take one Family trip per year. Because we only go to 1 park for 2 days a year, we want to make the most of it. My dad and I both work jobs outside in the extreme heat. So our reasoning when we go to a park is to get the highest level Fast Lane (or equivalent at non CF parks). We stand outside on the heat all day for work, we don't want to stand in the heat waiting for rollercoasters on our vacation. So we save and shell out the extra money for those passes. They're a godsend! Just did a day trip to Dollywood for the first time and the unlimited time saver pass was a HUGE help. We only had one day at the park, so we were able to ride every coaster at LEAST 3 or 4 times. I highly recommend fast passes. They're worth the extra money for sure!
Hey I drew/designed most of the Cats Meow wooden decorations you showed in the souvenir shop! I'm so happy you thought they were cool, it was awesome to see them in your video!
Went to CP on a halloweekends Saturday and with fastlanes and maverick was an hour wait and steel vengeance was 90 minutes. Insane how busy fall Saturdays are compared to any other weekend
Son of Beast was in a very similar situation in the late 2000s/early 2010s to dragster. Both were very problematic in their own ways. Both parks are or were very quiet about the futures of their problematic coasters. I would hate to see dragster go, but I also wouldn't be surprised either.
The difference being Son of Beast was a horrible coaster not worth maintaining. Once the novelty of a 200ft wood coaster wore off no one liked that ride. TTD is still a very loved ride by enthusiasts and the general public
Son of Beast was a great ride until the loop was removed. I'm sure the G trains were garbage on it. Sad it's gone but happy to own a piece of the track.
I was watching some of your videos last week to hype myself up for my friend group's trip to the park, so it's funny to find out that you were there that same weekend!
I rode raptor for the 3rd time this year, and the mid course brakes were off so it just FLEW through the second half like crazy. Really made top 4 for me at the park without trims.
I was at CP the day after this, as well as the next two days, my first visit since 2005! Sure, some parts were still familiar, but in many ways it was like visiting for the first time! I can't believe how dead Sunday was, and I decided to get the FLP for Tuesday and I was able to get in 31 total rides, including 5 straight on Steel Vengeance during the last 90-ish minutes of operation. Is it my imagination, or was there older Raptor footage cut in? At the 11:50 mark you can clearly see one of Wicked Twister's spires!
Got to marathon steel vengeance in the pouring rain almost 2 weeks ago. Everyone left when it started raining so the same like 50 people just kept running on. Felt like it was insanely faster and the trims never even hit. It was crazy
We spent the entire week at Cedar Point and Kings Island( 1 day) so going during the week is so worth it because there were barely any lines especially Steel vengeance
Just went with a friend from Michigan a couple weeks ago. We went on a Tuesday and rally didn’t need the fast lane at all. Longest wait was 45 minutes for steel vengeance, everything else was under 30. On a weekend though it’s almost not even worth it unless you have a fast pass
Cedar Creek mine ride takes up a huge plot of land, great spot for new GCI. THEN replace Gemini with a dualing RMC Raptor with intense model and family model like Walibi Holland is building. Gerstlauer, Mack, or Vekoma HYPER looper to replace Corkscrew!
The Toft's factory is near Cedar Point and actually has a parlor on the front where you can get ice cream. My family would always go there after a day at Cedar Point. Highly recommend.
I went a few days before you guys. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I got fastlane on Thursday and it was worth it and crowded. I can't imagine crowds on Weekends
There's no reason to get rid of Gemini. It's a Cedar Point classic, it's a family coaster in a park packed with thrill coasters, and it's a dueling coaster. Enough said.
Trims were not hitting on the mid course of Steel Vengeance when I was there this Saturday luckily!! Also, I could’ve sworn I saw Anthony going up the lift back row on Steel Vengeance while I was waiting on the stairs to the station
This video pure truth. Just got back from my home park couple hours ago and fast pass/plus a must. We planned two months ago and bought ahead of time knowing no refunds.
Kings island, Kings dominion and Dorney park announced that their getting rid of their Fast lane PLUS option. Everything will now be on regular fast lane. Cedar Point and CW could do the same in the future.
first time i was at this park I had a fast pass because i heard you wouldn't get much done without one, I got to ride all the rides on my list missing out on only a few, valraven because it was shut down, gemini, and a third one that I can't remember the name of either, both were old wooden rides though, should've rode those instead of corkscrew
Thank goodness I live so close i dont have to go on the weekends and can walk on essentially everything lol ....also ...omg Cat Meow Houses!!!!! (11:04) My mom and grandmom collected those when I was a kid.
So many busses. I was there Mon and Tuesday. Had FL+ on tues cause we had to leave Wed due to the heat. Saw SteVe get up to a 240 min wait at peak of the day on Tuesday.
I was there both Saturday and Sunday. I got the fast pass plus on Saturday and it was so worth it. We Rode things multiple times. Sunday we didn’t but we rode almost as much. The difference of attendance form Saturday to Sunday it ridiculous.
I’m going to cedar point in a couple of weeks on a weekend, with fast lanes though. Saw that a ride like maverick had 30 minute waits for fast lane, but how bad were the other rides?
Local so fastlane isn't as vital since we can go mid-week easily. But my view on waiting in line has definitely changed over the years. In 1989 the line for Magnum would sometimes stretch past the front gate - you had to leave the park and get a handstamp to ride it on busy days. Now Steel Vengeance and Maverick are the only things I'll wait more than 30 minutes for. We were there last week, and the ride that really surprised me was Blue Streak. Seemed like it was really hauling this year.
@@heihei3453 I just recently went on a Tuesday, waited about an hour for millennium, Steel Vengence, and maverick. The rest were somewhere between 15-40. So really not that bad in my opinion
Seeing dragster go would really kill my soul because I really enjoy riding it and the skyline would look so different, BUT LOL what If they replaced dragster with a Strata B&M twister coaster! It could be the tallest fastest and longest coaster in the park. I don’t know just a thought 💭
I got to go to Kings Island and Cedar Point in the same week. We were at KI on the Tuesday that was 96°, and got multiple rides on all the big coasters. We went to Cedar Point on Father's Day, and it wasn't busy at all. IMO, Millie is FAR better than Orion, and it's a toss up between Banshee and Raptor. I will say Raptor has a better finale. The double helix at the end of The Beast is my favorite coaster element, but so far Steel Vengeance tops my list of coasters.
@notbuttor Idc what RCDB sys🤣🤣🤣 RCDB DID NOT CREATE THE TERMS WE USE TO CATOGERIZE COASTERS💯 CEDAR POINT DID!!! SO THEREFORE RCDB DOES NOT GET TO DEFINE/CHANGE WHAT THOSE TERMS MEAN, A GIGA STANDS AT 300-399FT. ORION stands at a hieght UNDER/LESS THAN 300 FT. SO ITS NOT A GIGA! ANYONE CAN SAY WHATEVER THEY WANT ITS A FREE COUNTRY, YOU GUYS ARE JUST WRONG THATS ALL🤣💯
My parents rode Raptor years ago and the ride stopped right at the top of the lift hill. Apparently some guy managed to undo his restraints bc he wanted the ride to be more extreme. That ride has 6 inversions
Just coming back from cedar point and it wasn’t crowded at all. 25 minutes for steel vengeance, 30 for millennium force, and absolutely no wait times for rougarou or raptor which I enjoy a lot. I still can’t get over 20 minutes for steel vengeance And this is without fast lane
I always have thought the Gemini plot would be the perfect place for the biggest S&S 4-D coaster to take away all of Eejinaika's records. Also would love it to have an awesome light package
7:40 Doing that would just make Cedar Point's lines even longer. Gemini is a massive people-eater, while Gerstlauer Infinities are not. Compare Hangtime with Silver Bullet, for example, or The Smiler with Nemesis or Oblivion.
Needed a shot of raptor to match the grey sky of the Vlog, and all the footage we shot this year of raptor was blue sky footage so it would’ve looked out of place
Controversial opinions Steel Vengeance in my number 2 coaster behind Lightning Rod. Millennium Force is my favorite giga and Magnum is my second favorite hyper behind Goliath.
having done all but 4 coasters at Ceder point due to restraint issues as im a big guy my favourite ride at Ceder point is Mavrick and Millenium sadly Top Thrill Dragster broke down as did Valraven, and didnt do Blue Streak as my group didnt want to do it and Steel Vengence i couldnt fit the restraints. the B&M's weren't that great comparing them to Yukon Striker at Canada's wonderland but i305 would be my top Giga that i've done if RMC would fix their restraints to accomadate taller individuals then i would likely like them but RMC's are just not accomadating same for B&M and the Clam shell restraint on their Giga's and hypers i have thick thighs and i cant ride the giga's
I would absolutely love to see an episode Taylor and Sarah where you take people like me who are fascinated about rollercoasters but are too scared to ride the big ones like these at Cedar point and help them get over their fear. You could do a competition where people enter and you pick them via random selection. I am moving to the US this year and intend to visit Cedar Point. It would be fantastic knowing how some people conquered their fear.
I went the day after Memorial Day (Tuesday) and it was crowded. Wait for Maverick was 1 hour, SV was 45 minutes. Maverick is easily the #1 ride in the park, with SV, MF, Raptor, and Valravn next. Also went the next day on Wednesday and it was much better with lines 15-20 minutes less. Going mid week after Memorial Day is a good idea. I still like Millennium Force as my #1 giga. Had a great ride on Orion in the front with no one screaming, smooth as butter, but like Intamin better. Maverick and SV are not part of the daily ERT rides. They have a list of early rides and you won't know which will be open until you get there. It's usually Valravn, Magnum, and Raptor. A long line forms for MF and Maverick with people waiting to ride at 10am.
Surprised it's that busy with gas at $5 a gallon. I think 2023 will be a dead year with the upcoming recession, gas prices, and COVID induced demand waning
Wait, CP still hasn't switched over to 10 to 10 operating hours? Kings Island been switched over since memorial day. And that's with a 15min firework show every night. CP must still be struggling with staffing.
Sarah hates Magnum, and I hate Raptor. She doesn't like getting her legs abused on the bunny hills, and I don't like getting my head abused from the constant headbanging of Raptor. I get far less headbanging on every SLC combined. I've ridden it plenty, trying to make it happen, and I do sometimes get a good ride, but most are painful. Someday, I will become numb to headbanging like other enthusiasts. It just hasn't happened to me yet.
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv That's the worst one, but also twice in the cobra roll, and a few other places. If it had vest restraints to eliminate headbanging, I would love it.
