Do you have kids and wonder if it is worth it to take them to an amusement park? Theme parks can be quite a challenge with children, but we are here to help you plan out the perfect day at a park!
In this video, we will share the best places to eat in the park from pizza to chicken to BBQ. Food is an important factor on your trip to Cedar Point. Don’t settle for over-priced hot dogs when you can get a delicious barbecue beef brisket, mac and cheese or a juicy, cheesy burger! The last time I was at Cedar Point was 1983 or 1984. I was a young teen back then. It was 1979 when I first went to Cedar Point. I was 11 years old then. Seeing this video brought back great memories of Cedar Point.

Yeah in 2019 with my own Marissa life was different, they had Stockade and no Farmhouse back then, but our main spots were Chickies and Petes healthy options on the meal plan, Hugo's, MissKeat's [Chipotle] in Frontiertown, and BackbeatQue. Pretty much anything healthy, anything that isn't fries, greasy burgers, greasy pizza, or fake-chicken tenders.

Kyle & Marissa are wonderful!! Didn't know they were from Michigan. Need to find me a wonderful Michigan woman like her who is my type and also likes roller coasters like this and the full experience... dating is so hard, wasting hundreds a year on paid dating sites is miserable, and Kyle is so lucky.

I also loved the BBQ restaurant the Mac and cheese was really good! So much better than the normal grab and go snacks at most parks and it didn’t take much more time to order and sit and relax. Totally worth it!

We agree - it’s a big step up from the typical walk up restaurants. Still super quick and much more delicious! We love relaxing out on their patio while listening to the bands play too. Glad you enjoyed it!

A shout-out for Johnny Rockets, my wife thinks their salads are the tops. She prefers a salad over a hamburger or chicken sandwich. We both like Panda Express, a nice amount of food even with the meal plan which we have.

We love the Mac and cheese! When we filmed this, some of the restaurants were not open due to COVID. We would love to do an update to this list this summer, especially with the new restaurants that are opening!

Totally agree the BBQ place is the best in park restaurant! Chick-fil-a is pretty good... but I haven’t had it in the park yet. Do they have indoor seating or just outdoor?

BBQ is the way to go! And if you like Chick-Fil-A out of the park you will like it just as much in the park! They only have outdoor seating, but there is a great view of Maverick - so it is entertaining too!

No Melt on this list!?! Thats gotta be my #1 with no competition! Amazing selection, full of flavor, and massive portions! I have never had a bad meal from Melt! Plus, the prices arent bad and the full bar gives a boost to my rating as well.

We understand! But- this list was focusing on places that accept the dining plan and unfortunately, Melt does not. We agree that Melt is a great dining option otherwise!

Yes! And when you do find a Chick-fil-a in michigan there is a crazy long line. So sometimes Cedar Point is the best place to get it! We might visit around that time too - say hello if you see us! Thanks for watching 😃

Miss Kate's in Frontier Town has good BBQ also (same menu) and an off the map bathroom. We buy the meal plans and the 6 and 7 year old split it. We had heard people talk up the French Frys and battered hot doges but we were disappointed and frankly had better at the county fair back home.

We haven’t been able to make it to that restaurant yet as they were closed last year and we just haven’t been ready to when in that area this year. I hope we can sometime soon! We love some good bbq! Everyone does have different tastes - we have tried some things people have raved about too and weren’t impressed too. At an amusement park especially it’s always hit or miss. But we appreciate new ideas as we have found some fantastic food that way too!! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this! I’m considering getting the meal plan. We bought passes right before covid hit and never ended up going in 2020. I have two trips planned so far for the summer. Staying 2 nights each time.

We definitely found the meal plan helpful for our family. Especially if you plan to visit Cedar Point multiple times in a year. We went 6-7 times last year and undoubtedly got our money’s worth! We have not heard anything yet - sadly. But we hope they open this year! Hopefully, we have some news soon. If not, I would expect WildWater at Michigan’s Adventure to open, as they were open last summer. We will see what happens!

Cedar Point has said that they are expecting to open Cedar Point Shores on May 29th and more info is coming soon 😁

Do any of these restaurants serve a delicious bass? Don't eat the chickens. They have large talons.

We are not aware of any locations that serve bass specifically. However, Chickie’s and Pete’s does have some seafood options. Lakeside express (near gatekeeper) did at one point offer perch. Just outside the park, Perkins and TGI Fridays at Hotel Breakers and Famous Dave’s and Bay Harbor (on the marina side) also offer seafood options. I hope that helps!

I love me some Chick Filla. Spicy chixen sammich with the waffle fries and sweet and spicy Sriracha sauce. 💯 But I went to that BBQ shoppe last time I was at Cedar Pointe and I will have to agree that it's #1. I got some brisket and mac n cheese and it was top notch. Maybe a little heavy though when consumed on a hot day before riding a bunch of rides. The portion sizes were great too. My wife and I ended up splitting a meal and it was the perfect amount. There's no way I could've eaten the whole thing by myself. Or I maybe could have but then I probably would've hurled all over Steel Vengeance. 🤢 See ya later alligator! 👋🏿🐊

Haha I’m glad we are not the only ones obsessed with Chick-Fil-A! So good! And we agree - it may be a bit heavy and you should plan accordingly! We also felt the portions were large - sharing is definitely do-able. Steel Vengeance is one you would want to do before going to get the BBQ! After while crocodile 😂

Nice! We love most of the restaurants, but our least favorite is the Corral - we always want their food to be good, but the chicken in particular is very dry and the pizza was mediocre. Just wasn’t worth the money. Roundup in Frontier Town is pretty basic, nothing too exciting. I would recommend checking out our recent video about all the new fall food that they have for the season for more options!

My wife & I shared 1 all day dining & had PLENTY. Panda Expess has HUGE portions. 2 of us couldn't finish our 1 meal!

CFA is way overrated imo, but if you don't have ready access to it, I could understand the attraction. Popeye's sandwich FTW! 100% agree about Backbeat Que. We had the meal plan for 3 days and kept going back for the brisket and mac n cheese. The other 2 places we really liked (I think?) have been closed-Pink's hot dogs (w/awesome o-rings) and the build-a-burrito counter service place near the skyway. If true, that's a double whammy loss. Walking tacos for sure also, and the Philly cheesesteaks restaurant under Raptor got honorable mentions from our crew.

Haha I think Popeyes and chick-fil-a will always be rivals! We just went to Backbeat Que yesterday- so so good!! Sadly, Pink’s and the burrito counter are gone - we were just saying that they need another Mexican style location towards the back of the park. We wish walking taco was in a different location and were open more often - they seem to be closed every time we are over there! We haven’t had a chance to try the Philly cheesesteaks yet - maybe next time we visit we will check that out! 😁

@@Alongfortheridetv Wanna hear how my buddy and I "maximized" our meal plan? Heh heh heh... We brought along (via Amtrak, to & from Arkansas) a FoodSaver vacuum sealer and a mess o' reusable plastic containers. Every 90 minutes, we were claiming our meal. We weren't necessarily EATING said meal, mind you, simply collecting what our every-90-mins-for-3-DAYS allotted. Thus the beef brisket and mac and cheese were perfect for the scheme. Once we filled our park bag's limit with reused containers, walked back to our room at Breakers, combined each haul into vacuum sealed bags. For two people. For three days. Every ninety minutes. Striking a small win for consumers everywhere! LOL

Coasters absolutely sucks the burgers tasted like a frozen burger put into a microwave and the chicken was only 4 pieces for $15 I'm not eating there ever again

We agree that it is likely frozen food.. keep in mind this is an amusement park and not 5 star dining. We felt like it was higher quality than some of the other options, but if you are looking for higher quality Back Beat Que is definitely the way to go!

New this year the Hugo’s restaurant started a create your own pasta station where you can get chicken Alfredo. We haven’t tried the Alfredo yet, but hope to soon! Chick-fil-A is constantly ranked #1 fast food chain for like the last several years!!! Lot better than Church's or Popeyes.

We agree it can be overrated considering it is just fast food - but it is definitely higher quality fast food in our opinion! Plus in Michigan you often see about an hour long wait in the drive thru on a daily basis so Cedar Point is usually the best spot for us to enjoy it! We also have tried the chicken at a few other spots at Cedar Point and were not too satisfied- so if you are looking for chicken at Cedar Point, we definitely recommend Chick-fil-a!
