I did the movable locker when I was there a couple weeks ago. The moveable locker worked all day for me. You just had to move your items at least once every 2 hours.
That should be clearly marked by the park. The fact that it’s not makes me wonder if they are intentionally hoping that people will do what I did. Not to mention, what if you hit a long line? Still, pinned. 😀. Because people need to know this! Thanks for the comment!
I've never had a problem moving my locker either. I take my stuff to different areas when I know I'm going to separate rides. Also, they are supposed to include free lockers like they have on El Toro right now in the future.
I've had the issue also, but at Cedar Point, I didn't know I had to move it that soon. Luckily, I went to guest services and they got my stuff out and didn't charge me the overages. They also gave me an additional pass to use a locker later.
okay, so the locker thing, they have the exact same system at Cedar Fair parks, you take all your items out and then move to a different one, put in the same information and then your locker will pop open, do that every 2 hours and you're fine, I don't know how this doesn't make sense to people, it's pretty self explanatory
Every park I’ve been at it’s the same, if you buy the multi movable locker you get to move from locker to locker all day. But if you exceed 2 hours at one locker you’ll have to pay $1 to retrieve your items now you can move from locker to locker again. It’s like this because they also offer all day lockers at a higher price
Thanks again, Trent, for coming out and joining me at the tail end of my trip! We may not agree on El Toro, but I have to mostly agree with your sentiments about the park overall! The locker system was just plain confusing and seems unnecessary. There definitely are a lot of cloned rides (which usually are just a one and done for me every visit and I re-ride all of the unique coasters). Bummed that multiple coasters were closed, including Kingda Ka and Green Lantern. Those never opened that entire weekend. Overall, I felt it was just a very uneven park (and you'll see this in my vlog, whenever I get around to editing it lol), where it seemed that for every good thing (like Nitro with fantastic operations on multiple trains!), you'd get a bad thing (like Medusa with a long line running only one train). Anyways, always fun hanging out, regardless! Hopefully, we can meet up again sometime very soon!
@ SFMM nobody used the lockers. Even the ride ops said just put your stuff on the floor by the lockers or on top of them. I hope to go to SFGAdv next year with my all park passport!!
Six Flags Great Adventure is close to me but we've always just done dorney park or even hershey park instead because it feels better. The atmosphere just feels better . I have only been to six flags once. Something about the six flags parks just isn't it.
I completely agree with you about the psycho swings. My family forced me on 3 of them during our amusement park pilgrimage 😂 I screamed the entire time.
Awesome work. Nitro is my fave. I think Adventure has a stout lineup. I don't mind the clones because it's all about finding the differences compared to others (I call them Easter Eggs). You got a new apartment? Hopefully, you are still in the Midwest. Scotty313 Tip - Always stay for the fireworks. One time I was sleepy in Detroit and NBC was doing the Freedom Fest Fireworks with Windsor Canada and it was 7 but I was by myself and sleepy as Hell downtown. What I ended up doing was finding a tree by the river in the park and made it my home. When I woke up, the entire park was filled with jabronis and I had the best seat in the house. Fireworks are amazing. Never miss a free show ever. Pizza Day and Spaghetti Day are once a week in the home, but fireworks day is a treat. As far as Skull Mountain is concerned, I am a fan. It's the perfect ride to hit up after a long day of walking. The puppies who live in the shoes will thank you for that rest because, without a ride like this, they will be barking for the next 3 days.
Glad you're still hitting new parks this season. I may have to add this to next year's itinerary. Maybe I'll see ya again this year at Halloween haunt.
yea went to six flags georgia 2 thanksgivings ago and they had the same stuff. they did have a couple non " six flgas ride " though they had an infinity coaster and a hyper B and M called Goliath plus and older wooden RMC coaster. but the rest of the stuff was batman and superman ride, plus all the other stuff.
We were there a few days before the El Toro accident. It was a painful ride for me as well along with being a major disappointment since it was on my bucket list. My favorite rides in order were Jersey Devil, Kingda Ka, and Nitro. I share some of your sentiments about the park. Too many duplicate rides, high priced food and the locker issue. We had a fast pass that day but the entrance was not always clearly marked for the fast lane on some rides. Overall a very exhausting day and I most likely won't return.
The only six flags I ever went to is when they took over Geagua Lake for a few years. I’m still more interested in getting to experience more CF parks first, but wander what changes, if any, CF will make to any six flags parks in the future.
The movable locker works all day. You should have gone to guest services and got your money back. Also, Medusa allows you to bring things up to the ride and put them on the side.
See that’s the problem. 10 Dollars is not worth another long line for customer service. And they don’t have anyone there to help you. So their customer service is just incredibly lacking.
@@notyournormalg1 Thanks for your response. It is very insensitive for park guests when parks cut corners on staffing to save a few extra bucks. El Toro is one that once you learn how to ride it, it will move way up in your coaster favorites list. I had to learn how to ride Skyrush at Hersheypark with the old restraints and it became my No. 1 in that park, but I like it just as much with the new theming and new restraints. I hope you give Great Adventure another chance in the future. I enjoy watching your honest opinions in your video vlogs.
I was there a week and a half ago. Other than El Toro and Ka this park doesn’t have a lot of great things going for it at all. The food service is horrid and just their customer service in general is just terrible
No Ceder Point isn't a Six Flags park. That is not how the mergerworks. When you go to Sandusky, I promise it doesn't say welcome to Six flags Sandusky.
You’re right. But that’s the easiest way to explain it to the public. They’re all branded “six flags” now. That’s the name. The actual tradeable company is FUN. But there is no longer a company named “cedar fair” So yes… most people will know cedar point as a six flags park soon if not already. And technically, that is the name even if it is not the majority decision makers.
@cp_coasterlover really. CEDAR FAIR took over everything and kept the Six Flag name. SIX FLAGS only has 49% interest in the merger. Furthermore why would Ceder Fair give complete control over their parks to a company that clearly has park running issues when they obviously know what they are doing. Kings Island is an example of Ceder FAIR turning yet another park around. So again, that is not how this merger works. If anything Six Flags is still willing to work with companies that CF is having issues with RMC,Intamin,Zamperla and so on which may benefit the public but history shows that mergers such as this never do. 😮
@@shanecarravello2922 I know this will be hard to understand but Cedar Fair no longer exists. The 2 company’s combined into one company, Six Flags. Yes the new Six Flags will look and run more like the former Cedar Fair parks were ran. We will not really notice the changes at the parks level probably until 2025. So I agree with what you said except for Cedar Point not being a Six Flags Park because as of July 1st 2024 it is a Six Flags Park.
I'm glad I knew about the 2hr time limit on the transferable locker hold before my last visit and it worked great. The problem I had though was I couldnt get it to read my card, so I swiped it again, then nothing happened. I walked away (stupidly) and tried a different kiosk and it finally worked. I found out later I got 2x charged and had to get the refund through my bank. Six Flags wanted proof of my receipt to get the refund, but of course I didn't have it cause I had no idea I got charged 2x at the time. Either 6Flags made $10 off me or somebody ended up with a free locker. Annoying, but Im glad I at least was refunded a different way.
I've never been to a Six Flags park. I know there is a lot of issues with each one which is why they are/were struggling. With them joining the Cedar Fair family, hopefully their parks can be better. I wouldnt expect that change to be made right away. It will be a few years to finally see changes made. For a lot of parks, its hard to make changes during the season so i would expext most updates to come in the off season. The biggest changes that im curious about to come are gonna be the IP stuff. Cedar Fairs IP contract with the peanuts is coming up for renewal in a few years and six flags will also be around the same time with DC and Looney Tunes. I remember Kings Island switched over from Paramount. IP changes were made first before anything this else but it took a few years to full transition over.
I get the $5 movable locker at kings island and it works all day. I’m confused why you had the issues you did because it looks like the same system they use.
@notyournormalg1 one tune area and one peanuts area would be nice. Rogaru was a walk on at 5 pm on Saturday and I think it's time for iron dragon and corkscrew to be replaced with something new and not a 6 flags retreed
@@themeparkmark1 I have and it was the worst ADA experience out of all the Six Flags parks... Over Texas was much better in that regard. Fiesta was much nicer overall then other Six Flags theming wise, but they didn't seem to have their operations together as many rides were down during my visit last year the couple days after the 4th of July.

Why didn't you ask The Flash to run around the world for ya? Would have only taken a couple of seconds. You got to hear The Dapper Din! Why do the Six Flags parks have all the same rides? When you buy in bulk, you get a discount. Soiteny!
With that particular cattle pen, there are two ways to walk around the outside of it, we just went different ways than that couple (which we did enter the line originally in front of)
