Cedar River restoration: A success for people, salmon, orcas

Europeans imposed catastrophic damage on the landscape and wildlife. High time we try to reverse it.

All I can say is good luck. I gave up on King County and moved. I was born in 1958 and grew up as a kid and young adult. I slowly watched, my favorite river the Cedar, go to pot. No one cared about the Sea Lions eating up and ruining a once great Steelhead run at Ballard Locks. No one cared about the invasion plants growing along the river. Then the river was shut down for fishing. Most of the time, restoration is in a river favors flood control over fish habitat. Too many people. Too much polluted run off. Too much impact on the once beautiful river, The Cedar. I found a more beautiful place.
