I think the next innovations will be the chips in projectors becoming more advance and catching up with 4K tv Processing and I/O bandwidth moving up to a basic level hdmi 2.1 on all ports and maybe adding Display Port for PC's and doing both 120hz/144hz. Maybe even SONY will come out with a Playstation themed UST.
When do we see a Laser TV Showdown for 2023, with al the latest UST laser projectors released this year? And will you include the Leica Cine 1 in the Showdown?
Whether the experts wanna hear it or not with tvs getting bigger and bigger projection technlogy will cease to exist. The high sense 100" tv for example at 5000 thousand dollars is a prime example.
Not if the TV’s that approach 110” and 120” are upwards of 200 lbs to hang on a wall. The only way I will buy a 120” TV is of it is just like the OLED wallpaper Design, where the display weighs nothing and the processing is in a box that is tether to the display via a ribbon cable.
I wish Barco steps into the UST laser projector world. On the wish list... Native 4K with a high end chip that upscale every source up to 4K, high end lenses (like Leica) for crisp sharp picture from corner to corner, 4 2.1 HDMI ports, Google TV os.
He really skipped over some, like Sony, he mentioned zero information, no projector model numbers/views of the images of them on screens, basically zero, not sure what the point of even mentioning Sony was.
