Gasification is the name, Cars and trucks during WWII ran on wood and coal gasification making syngas which is 20% hydrogen. just like cracking crude oil different high temp and collection point make gas and diesel. After hurricanes you can run generators of the wood with a gasifier. So simple and its so forgotten.
This is very insightful. I am curious about the power consumption per cycle. And what is the ratio of Kg for Liters of oil or fuel. Also Price point on that size of unit. Please respond
This tech has been around for years - it's only now that governments are starting to acknowledge it, as they can't really avoid it with the increasing plastic waste problem. A small fully automated self-sustainable commercial unit, capable of processing 20kg of plastic per 6 hour cycle producing 85% yield of syn-diesel can be had for less than £45,000. This is a good option for businesses producing plastic waste or small communities. Quantafuel of Norway is currently rolling this out on a massive global scale, with their unit in Skive processing 60 tonnes of waste plastic per day, yielding up to 15 million litres annually. Th e fuel is 66% cleaner burning than fossil-fuel equivalents.
Brilliant machine and process! Where can I buy a machine like this and what is the cost? I am an educator, artists and community development worker based in South Africa.
OH&S would shut her down, no hard hat, no goggles and no knowledge. That was difficult to watch! Camera person was obviously a newbee too. Hocus pokus focus. Hey lady, can you re-do this entire video... after you learn how both the machine and the camera work?
When you have finished with the highly toxic water, you can just pour it into the sewage system and drink it later. I believe they already trialled it in Flint Michigan.
Money is the key. Yesterday, using plastic as landfill was the cheapest option. Today is burning it directly with other debris & turn it into electricity. Sometimes mixing it for tiles, bollards & fences. Tomorrow they´ll shredding it and use lasers to sort it by color and type. It will be a long time before turning it into diesel prior to burning becomes viable. What´s the benefit of that? Why use a lot of energy and precious equipment to turn solid fuel into liquid fuel?
A less dense plastic has a lower density not a lower dense. FYI: It's hard to watch a technical demonstration of a process when the instructor doesn't understand the language that pertains to the properties of the principle object of the technical demonstration. IMHO
Trying to view a RU-vid video has been consistently failing over the last few weeks. It looks like the recording is trying to load and issues a message to restart the PC. Any ideas??
Inventor of the Plastic-To-Oil machine is Akinori Ito. Company name is Blest. I'd post a direct link to the machine, but weJTube blocked that function for me. 🙄😒
i find it difficult to believe that this machine will be capable of the 450C heat . powered by electricity the oil would be cheaper at the most expensive retailer
What is the quality of the gasoline like? Has it been tested on regular family sized vehicles? Does it affect performance in any way i.e. negatively for your car?
+SirBalz Comment: 1 kg of plastic produces one liter of oil, which costs $1.50. This process uses only about 1 kW·h of electricity, which costs less than 20 cents!
Where can I buy a machine like this, or how? And how much? I would love to act as an agent to sell these and promote these in my country (South Africa).
Hallo Harry, dankie vir die terug antwoord. Ek is op soek na kleinerige masjiene, maar enige kontak sal help. Kan jy my asb kontakbesonderhede gee, of ten minste website adresse of iets? Baie dankie!
Should've used an iPhone for the filming instead of an old Sony hand-held. I suggest you guys practice a bit before releasing movies to youtube again, it would have been a great movie.
The heated plastic also releases gas. It's burn able and could be used to burn (search wood gas), but since this is a desktop model, the gas is simply filtered out.
+EcoAgroGuy - You really don't have to, but plastics also contain other mineral contaminants that could cause corrosion of the metal parts in the water bath receptacle. The water only needs to be drained and replaced when the machine is not in use for a while, or if the water starts to look really "funky", otherwise it could make the oil less clean.
Seeing I am guessing youre some Environmental person and or group. I suggest you name the product by name. Name how much is costs and tell people how much money can come out of this. You named Bigger ones can take Contaminates. And said mentioned a Bigger one can. Name that product. Name where others can get these products. Just my suggestions.
gasoline = 30% kerosene=40% deisel = 20% heavy oil = 10% its like this is a computation by products of plastic waste if will put inrefinery e_lansangan@hotmail.com
Simone Sebalo but i think the cost is not that little to buy that kind of machine then get the oil and use it for a small engines , you know what i mean ?
***** save up all your plastics for 1 month, see just how MUCH WASTE you use! Not having to go out and buy oil/gas for your machines WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. You just use the left over plastics, you don't have to pay again for the oil. This machine can pay for it's self in under 10 years! Plus the amount of waste saved from the land fills, will save the planet hundreds of thousands of years worth of contamination!
+Trea Jacobs actually it's very energy intensive. It does not save money, it does however utilize a waste product that would otherwise pollute. The electricity cost for the heat, time, and small return is technically not worth it, except maybe on an industrial scale. But only maybe.
Call it sad age opposed to new age because this technology has been around for a very long time .. It's was just more cost effective to pollute. sad but true
Your camera sucks. But i like the desktop model idea but how much hydro is being used to heat the chamber. Is there a model out or in development to use the SinGas to heat the chamber
what country are you from ? i need to know because i want to order for the local government unit use what is yoru email and phone if have. or be a project coordinator
Wait, this thing has to heat the plastic to 800 degrees for SEVERAL HOURS, just to yield a cup or two of oil of some unknown quality? How much energy does THAT take? Talk about trading the family cow for a sack of magic beans!
