I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was my favorite town in Sicily. I liked Catania and Palermo for sure, but this place was relaxing and a place I'd like to go back to with my family.
I loved Cefalu. Stayed in the medieval area one via back from the sea. With my family. The sound of swifts above and the smell of the sea. Thank you for retracing out steps.. All of them.

An extraordinary walk through the town of Cefalu. Plenty of details: beautiful sandy beaches, locals, street vendors, visitors, tourists, traffic noise, hard climbing up the Rock in the midday heat, all accompanied by very clear sounds of birds, people, insects, sea waves which all make an incredibly strong impression of presence on the spot. A great view of a great place, although it is gentrifying since my visit. A bit further clockwise along the shore is a network of paths over the rocks. When I was there large waves were engulfing little footbridges between islets and groups of students were cheering for me to get wet. I used the pauses between every 7th wave or so and remained dry to their amazement.
Hahah..yeah, turned off the camera thinking I was done and then looked over and saw the goat just standing there. I had to turn the camera back on and let everyone say hello.
I know! I'm thinking What the Heck!?! seeing that at the very end. I'm sure it's not stuck there but I'm a human so now I'm worried. Meanwhile, it's just munching away, checking you out. Nice views from atop. After seeing Taormina and Cefalu, I really want to visit Sicily.

Io abito a Palermo ma vado sempre a Cefalù; anche da ragazzo ci andavo perchè ne sono rimasto sempre incantato per il mare, per i posti e per la gente.
I am working on my Palermo walk right now. It should be up this month. I really enjoyed both Cefalù and Palermo, but Cefalù was a great place to spend some time to relax and enjoy the water.
Loved the walk up the trails in the hills. Thanks for no music, talking or too many pop up captions. That always spoils the immersion factor for me. Good job!
