Celebrate the Return of Salmon Fest! 

After 2 years off due to Covid, the Friends of Northwest Hatcheries and Wenatchee River Salmon Festival team were excited to "Celebrate the Return" of in-person hands-on education for students in September 2022! Our partners at the Chelan PUD were gracious enough to host Salmon Fest on their new campus at the Rocky Reach Dam & Discovery Center in Wenatchee, Washington after construction and other hurdles would have hindered the event at it's normal location at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery.

The Wenatchee River Salmon Festival, a.k.a. Salmon Fest, takes place annually to celebrate the return of salmon to our Northwest rivers. Traditionally the event includes two days for students from schools across Washington and a free public community day that adds outdoor recreation, performances, and more.
