At today's Board meeting, we had the honor of recognizing a very special organization that has been giving back to the community for over 100 years - the Kiwanis Club of Escondido - Hidden Valley. Congratulations to them on reaching this incredible milestone of community service!
Established in 1924, the Kiwanis Club is part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world through a wide range of projects. From local clean-ups to large-scale health drives and educational workshops, they have always been committed to making a positive impact.
Here in Escondido, the Kiwanis Club of Hidden Valley prioritizes service in numerous ways. Their efforts include answering phones during the annual Radiothon for Rady Children’s Hospital, teaching kids how to fish during their Semi-Annual Children’s Fishing Experiences at Lake Dixon, and working with the exceptional High School Key Club across schools in San Diego County.
The heart of this organization is their support for groups that enrich the Escondido community. From North County Interfaith to The Salvation Army, the local YMCA, and many more, the Kiwanis Club has always been there, lending a helping hand to those who need it most.
Once again, congratulations on your 100th year of service, and thank you for all that you do for Escondido and beyond!
