@@bauman921 100%. Exxxcept, Pete hates all the gobeley-gook talk about specs and such and is Prrrr-obably the main reason for A-2 in the first place. just sayin'
We are beyond proud to have created this for you and your viewers to celebrate 60 years of Andertons. we are in our tenth year this year and its not lost on me how big a figure 60 years is in comparison. Congratulations to you and the team.
You guys should be proud. Usually family businesses fail especially once the original family member who starts it moves on. To not only take over the reigns, but to make it even more successful is even rarer. Grandad would be proud! Congratulations and 🍻!
Was thinking the same thing, so big props for the amazing success over the years and has been a pleasure seeing how Anderton have been growing over time
So true. Having had two legacy businesses in my family and seeing them both end (one due to a death and the other to big box stores) I know how hard it is to make it work in modern times. Cheers to 60 years. That’s quite an accomplishment. P.S. the one that ended due to a death has since been revived into an online store by my cousin.
Congratulations Anderton's on 60 years! And thank you Mesa Boogie for sending Pete to explain the Cab Clone! Without you we wouldn't have Pete to wonderfully demonstrate all these other great peoducts!🎉😂💜💜💜
Wow! Tales of topographic pedals! What a wonderful device. And congratulations on 60 years! You’re a great retailer with staff who know their stuff and care about music making. And this is a terrific pedal. May Andertons and Thorpy FX go from strength to strength. 😊
Don’t usually go in for limited edition things but I ordered mine (to Australia) straight away last night. Sounds and looks incredible and I’ve been watching this channel for sooo many years it almost feels like my local store even though I’ve never set foot in there. Thanks for years of enjoyment.
Ordered mine today and will arrive tomorrow...long time Anderton's customer here...congrats on your successful longevity in the music biz Captain and Pete and all connected to Anderton's...
Ryan of 60cycle Hum loves spitty fuzz! You've become the best UK retailer in recent years. Able to get me stuff a couple of other retailers couldnt for some reason. 60 more years at least!
@Andertons Music Co - I was lucky enough to get one today! So that's one more that will make it to the U.S. and won't be on Reverb. Congrats the all the Anderton's family on such a wonderful milestone.
Always great content. If I get to England, I’ll definitely stop in and take a look. It would be very cool to see your store. Thanks for all the great gear reviews!
Congratulations to everyone at Anderton's. It's such a milestone, and you guys are are a wonderful group of people! Support from all the way out in Canada :) Here's to 60 more!
I've never been to Guildford but you always make me itch to go there but now you're selling a pedal with a map on it it's even more tempting! This seems a really well designed thoughtful pedal. I'd love one but don't think I would do justice to it and don't want to keep it as a collectors item - it should be played lots and loud. Congratulations on 60 years - and hopefully many more years of videos.
I hear ppl say this all the time- I don't understand this thought process. What do you mean "do it justice"? There's no standard you need to live up in order to buy a pedal, and the faster you buy one and start learning how to use it- the faster you will "do it justice" for lack of a better term. Fuzz is an odd effect- you have to learn 2 things to use them and get decent results- 1. how to use the volume on your guitar to interact with the pedal and get the best tones- and 2. that you need to play to the effect- you can't just hook up a fuzz and play the stuff you've always played, it won't sound good. You have to learn what does sound good, and then analyze it- figure out why it sounds good. Is it single notes, is it chords- if it is, what kind of chord, etc. But playing with that volume and the eq section- will make all the difference in the world. Usually, you want to crank the fuzz or sustain or whatever it's called on your pedal- then you use the volume on your guitar to adjust how dirty or clean you want it. Even if you don't want it clean, you still want to roll a little volume off- just so it's not so over the top. Also- single coils seem to sound better with fuzz than humbuckers- not always, but usually. I bet if you took a single coil guitar, rolled the volume back a tad- and simplified your playing- you'd be shocked how good it sounds. Stick to power chords, single note lines, 4ths, and octaves- you'll sound great.
@@stoneysdead689 Thanks for the advice and of course you're right about just knuckling down and getting on with it. I meant that as this is such a limited run of 200 pedals I hope that they fall into good hands that make the most of them and they get played the hell out of. If the pedal were to be re-issued, not as a special edition, I might consider getting it.
LongAmp here! Love your work. Despite living for some time in UK back in 2015 I never had a chance to visit your beautiful shop. Kudos that it’s been story of your family for 6 decades now! Anyway, so far I was jealously (cause you know, I’m kind of pedal builder myself wink, wink) looking at Thorpy’s wonders and some higher power kinda possesed my right hand and said „just do it man!” So I did, purchased my very first ThorpyFX pedal, wondering if it will be sub #50 unit. Super stocked, can’t wait 💙🖤
Congratulations from Toronto Canada! Love the channel, been watching for years. I’ve placed my order and looking forward to this very cool and special pedal. 🙏🤟🍁
Happy 60th ... 🎂 Thanks for all the vids you shared for so long ... great stuff and i still enjoy it a lot Still remember my long time fav. "... Ampeg ... without input jacks ... and then they took an arrow to the knee ... "
Congratulations on 60 yrs guys .. i wish ye all the best for the future .. Very tempted to get the pedal .. but fsct it mighn't be limited to 200 has turned me off .. I'll wait to see what's coming in September.. 😎
I'm not a big "fuzz fan" usually, but that is such a weird thing...I love it!! It's not just fuzz...it does some really weird stuff that would be a ton of fun to mess with!! Very cool!!
I’m 50 seconds in, but I’m already so hyped for this. Congratulations on 60 years - what a way to celebrate! One day I’ll make the pilgrimage to visit the store in person!
I am old enough to remember your opening clips, and smart enough to not play much electric. I've never been to England, but I kinda like the Beatles.... CONGRATULATIONS!! This pedal sounds uniquely amazing!
Amazing pedal. Mine is on the way. I just need to work out how to get it on my board without using Velcro to cover the glorious printing and signatures on the back!
Congrats Andertons, fantastic service , the amount of gear ive bought and sent back over the years is scary but youve always geen spot on with returns etc, the stuff i have kept from you has been top notch.
Could give it a different name if you wanted to keep the Six Zero for those lucky enough to get one of the 200.... Of course you could call it The Captain!!
