Hey Alfie, that little compound on the beach is owned by a man named Rory. He keeps his boat in it, and takes it out to fish most days. He makes sculptures inside it too, go take a look up close, he uses found items from the seafront to create with. If you see Rory down there, go have a chat and he'll show you inside if he has time (he's a lovely guy)
What I think is really cool is that your daughter will not only get to see your life but her moms, aunts, uncles, grandparents and even great grandparents through yours, Zoe, and Joe's videos! How amazing!!!!
Its so funny because so many of us in the comments have grown up with you. I bet you have so many incredible memories over these years, that would span a life time for most people.
Honestly the pocket 2 makes it feel like we as viewers are there with you in the vlogs. The vibes just feel 10x better with the new camera and I'm honestly so down for it!!
Enjoying every post! I’m 60 in October and your vlogs help keep me current and feeling young! So excited for you and Zoe… what a blessing you two .. your families.. and your extensive group of friends will be to your little girl! Can’t wait to see anything you feel comfortable to share! Prayers for a beautiful delivery! ♥️
I have to say, after bumping into you, Zoe and Mark a few years ago in Brighton, you talked to me although you didn't have to, and you were so nice and down to earth. You one of the few famous youtubers that remained so humble and nice despite the success ❤ love from France 🇫🇷
Its Beach Flint Grotto. Just looked on Google maps. It’s a old fisherman’s compound where they used to store their boats. A fisherman still owns it but he’s made works of art for people to visit.
I love the fact that your decision to daily vlog years ago continues to evolve into a positive thing in your life! Never thought about how you documenting your feelings and thoughts in vlogs could be so important to your future life. Been watching you for almost 10 years and hope you still keep vlogging for a while!
so true about capturing your memories, even just writing them down!! For the few things I have captured its amazing to look back on and there are so many other moments I wish I could go back and do the same!!
18:00 is legit making me want to buy a vlogging camera for my 18th and vlog at the weekends xx thxs Alfie, watched for 5 years because i was bullied and have severe anxiety and mental health issues. As well as being a shy and under confident lesbian so your vlogs and youtube help loads xxxxx
You and Zoe should make a video speaking to baby (kinda to welcome her into the world)! Then she'll have something great to look back on when she's old enough!
It is true that British people love to speak about the weather 😅 Anyway, congrats on the 12 years on Yt! I've been following you both for almost 10 years ❤
Sometimes I watch these and think, he’s a father 🥰🥲 I’m so happy for you guys and it just blows my mind what has happened since you started here. I’m so happy for you both and excited.
im so early and I'm glad to say I've been here for 12 years supporting you all of the way keep up the good work can't wait for the arrival of your little girl xx
I've loved watching you over the years- i used to live for your daily vlogs and the morning back- flip. Thank you for inspiring me and pushing me to go after my dream by pursuing a degree in journalism
A really touching and exciting video. I have been with you for 9 years and I enjoy the content you create, your personality, your contribution to the world, your optimistic outlook on life and the good eye on every person. Thanks for everything!💗
12 years bloodyhell !! Congrats 🥳 Been following this channel since the Vid Con days, when you went to Roman Atwood’s, The old house, RU-vid boyband, PB merch ...the list goes on. How time flys and how people grow 🥰
Can’t sleep started watching your video and then Zoe’s. Now 3.40am. Thanks Alfie can I just say we have loved the last 12 years watching you being this young lad grown into a man with a beautiful caring fun nature who will be a dad soon. The ride has been awesome for us and shows what a good guy you are for us to be so invested in your vlogs. Loads of love leisa Western Australia xx
I remember the ‘conversation’ you had with us on the beach a few years ago about how you were feeling just after a family friend of yours had sadly passed away - and I remember how sincere and powerful that moment in the vlog was. So I totally understand what you mean when you say how special it is to not only record actions, but also thoughts and feelings. Keep inspiring us, Alfie! xx (from a viewer since 2014)
Happy soon to be 12 years Alfie. That’s so funny you brought that up about how you’re feeling not just about what you’re doing on RU-vid. I had that realisation at the end of last year. And I create (for my own purposes) weekly/monthly checkin video diaries for myself of how I’m feeling. As I haven’t had to see a counsellor since early October 2020. So it’s nice way to have checkins if I’m okay. And then I know what not works and what works :)
Please show more of the process of future self. Clips of the ideas and then evolving those ideas, then how that turns into a product with the factory and just every part of the process. Even if you save the video and release it after you have released the product, would be so interesting to see
Absolutely madness how it’s been 12 years, you inspire me so much while growing. Your creativity helped me so much with life especially when it comes to cameras, talking to the camera itself is a little therapy of mine even just taking a photo. So glad to see you doing well, super excited to see more contents, you’re doing amazing! Sending lots of love all the way from Canada!
I’m a 52 & just became a grandma. I have watched your videos for so long and have always loved your positivity and your outlook on life. Thanks for sharing your reasons why you enjoyed vlogging. I just want to add, document even the smallest day to day events, not just the big events. Every time I am with my granddaughter I have taken pictures and video taped her. It is amazing how the day to day events can become so precious. Congrats on 12 years. I hope you continue sharing. Your videos are so inspiring.
i've been following you and zoe for the past 7-8 years and honestly i grew up with you, we all got more beautiful over the years[haha especially you! you look so much better these days] we've been working harder to achieve our dreams and goals, living life to the fullest!
It’s amazing what you have done Alfie! I’m so happy to to have found you! I started really watching you when you were vlogging everyday! I loved it! You were like a good friend! (You still are I just don’t see you as often!) I tried to vlog, but I get so shy!!!
I've been watching you for 7 years now and I love how I can see how you've grown to the man that you're now and seeing you and Zoe grow together as a couple and you're gonna have a lil' daughter soon 💗 And I hope you continue doing videos for another 12 years I'd love to always follow you and watch you grow even more Thank you for being you and thank you for doing what you're doing 💗 I love you and Zoe so much 💗
I’m in my 40’s and I don’t have a baby photo until I was 13 months and that was a family photo (got 5 older brothers and sister) I never met my grandfathers as they died before born. I have a couple of photos of them each. Photos and videos are fabulous as when people pass you forget what they sound like so if you can watch a video it means the world.
Congrats on 12 years! I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your growth while still having that same playful creative side this whole time. Can’t wait to see what this next chapter has in store for you and the fam! :)
i feel like i’ve grown up watching yours and zoe’s channels. i’m 22 now and i just feel so grateful that i have had the opportunity to watch you guys for all these years and will continue to 😊
hey Alfie, I found the chat at the end of your video really interesting and eye-opening and wanted to comment to let you know, you are truly inspiring to watch and listen to. I always thumbs up your videos after watching every vlog, but never really sat down to write, which shows how much I was touched by the last clip. While I am always eager to hear about your opinions on documenting your life, your choices are pretty unique, and I've never actually thought about some of those deeper reasons before. As you mentioned, it has made you more aware of time, which I think is an incredible indication of how much growth you've had and how your life has evolved for you to think broader now with a daughter on the way. Especially about documenting your feelings, more than just what you are doing. I never really thought about how future generations can see exactly how you were feeling at certain ages, and how it may benefit potential future offspring to see from your perspective. I actually starting to try documenting a little clip of my life everyday- just for my own sake, not for social media or anything, but to be able to go back to see moments I had, what I was feeling, who I saw, what the places looked, smelled, and felt like, etc. Like, I wish I could just sit down and chat back with you and have a conversation, because it really is an interesting discussion. Oh man, I've been watching your videos since I was probably 13 years old, and now I will be turning 22 later this year. I've loved your content all along because you are genuinely such a pleasure to watch, to listen to, to follow, be inspired by, and truly a wonderful person- both you and Zoe. I am incredibly proud of the people you two have been and the people you two are continuing to grow to be, and now to bring a new human into this world. It would be a dream just to sit down and have a conversation with you, hear about personal goals you're working on, updates on the family, plans for tomorrow, simple yet wholesome things. I hope you and Zoe continue to do well and have a beautiful and healthy baby. I am so excited to continue watching updates as your little girl arrives, and follow along this new journey for you both
Congrats on 12 years on youtube. I hope you will caption your life over the next years and share them with us, but I also understand that your family goes first especially with a new born on the way! 💗
10:32: The way Alfie said "the weather" made me laugh so hard because I had to think about Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford's roommate's video with the Neymar clip "no no no no no the weather!?" lollll cracks me up
Can't believe it's been so long! I remember being 12/13, not feeling like I was connecting with any of my peers, and discovering this little space here. It's been such a precious aspect of my life, being able to have this space of solace- throughout the most formative years of my life. I'm now 21, and have gone through so much! But your vlogs, and the others within this community have kept me company through those, and always provided me with a sense of comfort for times I'd felt so isolated. So grateful :)
First off, thank you. Thank you because sharing today made me realize that maybe filming and sharing my thoughts could help with a void I’ve been dealing with in my life. I decided to be a mom again but on my own this time. My girl is 10 months, but being a solo parent, I can’t share the amazingness we experience together with anyone. (Except with my oldest, but at 11, he doesn’t care really haha.) I’m trying to hold onto those memories because I’m the only one who could remember. For her, for me. I’ll try filming. It will be awkward at first but hopefully I get the hang of it. You will see when she comes how simple moments feels you with love, joy, pure bliss…. All the feelings. It’s the best!
My allergies would be so bad if I was on the receiving end of the dandelion wish haha. It's really heartwarming seeing Zoey and Alfie just having a casual day out
I definitely have started to make videos because I watched RU-vid videos and was like I want to be able to watch back the videos of my life. I don't post anything on social media but I just like the idea of having them like home videos. I more make a montage of my year each year since the clips I get of different events are only a few seconds long but it's a couple minutes of my life each year and they're so fun to watch back.
