I hope all the news agencies give the Native American Month as much attention as the give they blacks and mexicans during their month of recognition.

The fact that we even need to tribalize a whole month and declare it as "you're special because of your skin color (as long as it's not white)" month is an indictment of our so-called "progress" on race. The same people who'll scream "race is a meaningless social construct" are the first ones to implement and demand compliance with these sort of honorariums. What does that tell you about race and racism, who holds the views and who benefits from them? If we had any decency, this racist Sioux guy could be invited on any time to push his anti-white, anti-colonial restaurants and cookbook. Why should that be restricted to only 1 month of the year? He's an American. He should be allowed his free speech all year round, not just on "now red skin is cool" month. We'd honestly heal faster as a nation if he shared more of his culture and had to interact with more white people who don't hate him and never did anything to him. He might actually start seeing us as fellow citizens and members of his community with whom we could share food and culture freely without it having to be transactional or exploitative. The old attitudes are a serious cancer on our society.

In India, it's tradition to cook non veg food to our favorites with ingredients that grow in backyard. I hope, turkey must be delicious. It is okay to invest so many ingredients to prepare such turkey. Thanks for bringing forward secret recipe of cooking turkey with seasoning of spices.
