Haven't seen anyone mention it, but God bless the brother directing the choir. What a position of honor considering who they just lost, what a responsibility to stand in Kevins place and lead in his loss. What shoes to fill. God bless the guy, he did a fantastic job.
I just need to contextualise what I am about to say, I live in London, UK, have never met Kevin Lemons and HC; I have followed them intensley on the various social media platforms. Firstly, the grace, humility and poise of Tiunna Lemons, is simply exemplary, I felt her heart for service. The other standout point, is the choir director, who is phenomenal, as in the case of Elijah and Elisha, the mantle as fallen on him. Then there is the Higher Calling, what an incredible aggregation of voices and hearts. The discipline required to produce outstanding musical endeavours, is not common and not everybody can or will do what you do. The choir actually embodies the grace, humility and poise Tiunna Lemons and it really only became evident to me on observing you all (from a distance) since Kevin Lemons elevation. The Blessing of The Lord be upon all of you and may His Joy be Your Strength.
One of my most replayed parts in this Celebration was listening to C. Ashley Brown usher in the Presence of God and sadly she 2 has received her Heavenly Wings right along with our brother Kevin 🙏 R.I.P. KEVIN & C TEAR UP SKIES WITH PRAISE 👏 🙌 🙏
Beautiful homegoing celebration. Lady T. Lemons set the house in order and pretty much preached the Eulogy. Rest well Kevin Lemons thou good and faithful servant. I'm a true lemonhead saying WELL DONE.
Mrs. Lemons has just wrote a new song to sing at Homegoing services. Never thought this song could be a gospel song, but she has just rewritten this song. "I've had the the time of my life, I owe it all to you(God)".She has exhibited a woman's heart, spoken with grace and inspiring others even during her own grief. May God continue to comfort Mrs. Lemons, the family and their Higher Calling family
that was a beautiful tribute; her love for and deep connection to her husband is very clear and deeply moving. I hope she’s doing well physically and emotionally.

❤I had the chance to meet KL & his wife a few times in Sacramento at Genesis Baptist church youth concerts. I saw him the last time in Oakland a couple weeks before he transitioned…after service, he was resting on the front pew…people around him…but he saw me peeking thru with a stretched out hand….and he was so kind to reach back…and smiled. Awesome celebration for this choir master!🥁

One of my greatest honors is to talk to Minister Lemons about joining HIgher Calling! It was an honor to see and realize how humble, kind and funny he was. This is a sad day but one to rejoice as he did so much for building the Kingdom...see you later KL !!

At the beginning of the family coming in, they should have singed something more soothing for the family as they come in. The family is grieving and something should have been singed more soothing. They act like they're putting on a concert. SMH 😒😒
It's a HOMEGOING!! That's what they wanted, they didn't want a FUNERAL SERVICE,. Nothing sad a depressing, they wanted to send him off they way he lived! That's LOUD, BOLD, AND PRAISING THE LORD!
