I remember the days when i grew up in the mid 70s, watching in my grandma's neighborhood where kids put out a large cardboard and started breaking and we would all take turns. Those were the days... For that Aussie to make a MOCKERY of it on a big stage like the Olympics... Truly SAD!!!

So happy our studio here in Minnesota was featured on this. Happy to have hosted some of the Olympic qualifiers for competitors such as Bboy Jeffro. He is not only centered, humble and hard working, he epitomizes the qualities of a Bboy such as Finesse, speed, originality and character. Was an honor to host these events and excited to see USA perform in Paris!

Kindly research the origins of breakdancing. There are 1950s BBC videos of West Africans doing thses dances in their traditional ceremonies

Not the same moves sorry. I am Puerto Rican and lived in the Bronx in 1985 and saw how this took hold. I saw those 1959 videos they are not the same they do back flips break dancing does not good try though.

@@elir.torres8642 same moves, it’s in the DNA of African Americans who can trace their roots back to West Africa, Especially Nigeria where their ancestors were enslaved.

Black American dance and music origins are in Africa, but Africans did not create Hip-hop or Break dancing, there is not direct linkage, hip-hop and break dancing is a Black American creation, Africans did not ming!e with Black Americans that much certainly not on music or dance or clubs...

They know the true history it started in the the Bronx and the Bronx is not New York City . It’s Olympic because it’s not breaking anymore it’s sold but who cares it’s still awesome and it ‘s still a lifestyle and movement on a stage for everyone to join where everyone is welcome to take part of. So take your piece of cardboard and move your ass.

it wasn’t just Black Or Just Brown(Puerto Ricans), That created Breakdance/BBoying, because it was both Groups of People who together created Breakdancing in The Bronx Nothing But The Facts, well said !!

False FBA are the sole creators of hip-hop and break dancing, Puerto Ricans did not dance the same way... I grew up in New York, and lived around Puerto Ricans, they copied Black American culture...
