To be fair, my mom is also rather clumsy; she would have been laughing while she texted me. Not because it was fun, but you can cry or laugh and we choose the latter.
I think she knew that if something serious had happened, she would have heard about it in some other way. She was laughing over her mother's texting style, to which she is obviously frequently subjected.
It's a shame the graphics department didn't check the spelling though. She clearly says hall floor and not whole floor. Although do Americans use the term hall in their homes?
@@SheilaR.08 Not saying I eat food that everyone bring me, or whatever the case maybe. But you honestly DON'T know what's happening to food in the plants, that it have been processed in, or restaurant's either, for that matter. There is supposedly some pretty disgusting things in chocolate and peanut butter. That's why I try to pray over my food, water, and everything, and go on. You can and will literally drive yourself crazy, thinking about things that can be in food, or whatever the case maybe.
@@alicemestria4373 the whole description was British. She managed to "grasp the banister" for example. An American would write "I grabbed the railing".
Her bit was the funniest. My Mother doesn't like texting at all but bcse of the Pandemic she's bored & reads them. Aidy's Mom sounds mean. The black ladies texts were hilarious.
The text from Elle's mom is my mom anytime she ever watches a documentary on pretty much anything. Just outta nowhere. These angst fueled texts. Most other ones are just passive aggressive ones meant to make me feel guilty bout not contacting her 🤷♀️😂
Lakeith Stanfield's had me go back because I literally laughed out loud - mainly in agreement. And Emily Blunt had me laughing because she could barely read it without laughing.
I think Elle's mum might have been having a nervous breakdown when she sent that? Or is there a Netflix documentary on diving into water I haven't yet heard about?

At the end of the day, those who have Moms who do communicate with us are fortunate. Happy Mother’s Day, including those who do not have that official title of ‘Mom’ , but to those who care !
Eileen Chang Agreed, though I can see anxiety-ridden or negative texts might be as bad or worse than silence. This segment made me feel sad bc I lost my father as a kid & my own mother doesn’t communicate w me at all and never did, and there are many others in my position. Smthg to bear in mind when the impulse to mock one’s parents for heartwarming or innocuous texts arises.
@@tahayasseri139 It's a letter basically. It's probably about the length and style of the text rather than the tone of the text. But I ignore email from parents all the time, so I guess for practical reasons I see the purpose of a long winded text.
My mum recently texted my sister and me something like "I'm always here for you but when I have an emergency you're nowhere to be found." After about an hour I asked her what the emergency was and she said "The tv remote isn't working." 😂
Doesn't Elle's character jump into a lake in her new Netflix movie? Maybe her mom saw it and was like "*gasp* ELLE! NO!" and proceeded to text her that long warning
The younguns clearly don’t know Blythe Danner is Gwenyth Paltrow’s mom 😂 or that Gwyneth’s mom is also a famous actress. Gwyneth did not get famous on her own lol. Also loved Aidy Bryant’s mom support
I thought the same thing. "Don't ever, for any reason, do anything, to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been, ever, for any reason whatsoever."
I'm convinced Emily Blunts mother is one that might go from 0 to 💯 real quick. She "wielded" a handheld vacuum like a lightsaber and when problems arose, she "executed" a half swivel. That's code for she has probably kicked a lot of ass. I bet John Krasinski doesn't give her anything but warm pleasantries.
I think Elle Fanning's mom and I are the same person. My text to my son: If you are ever driving on a bridge or road where there is water, make sure you roll your window down just in case you run off the road and go into the water. Once your car starts to sink, the pressure will not allow you to open your car door. You have literally SECONDS to open the door once you are in the water so you want to make sure you have your window all the way down. Here is a youtube video of what to do if your car goes into the water.....did you watch it? Call me and repeat back to me what you are supposed to do if that happens. Do you promise that you will roll your window down when driving near bodies of water? I am serious. Promise me.
So the diving pointers were actually pretty good. Very smart and thoughtful and caring mom. And the mom who almost nose dived idk why but I was literally picturing it as she read it 😂🤦🏽♀️
I love my mom even though we are both Leo's, yep two Leo's in the same house. But I wouldn't change a thing about my momma especially now that she's my only parent now. Rip dad, I love you!
I was thinking that matt damon would be on this with his mom giving him alot of complements and at the end says I love you my favorite son Jimmy Kimmel
Totally. My mom and I were on a nature walk together in October 2019 and she lost her balance and broke her ankle in 3 spots. She screamed all of the sudden and her ankle swelled up right away, she and couldn’t get up. I had to run to the nearest house to ask them to call 911 (we didn’t bring our phones with us). It’s now almost summer 2020 and my poor mom is still unable to walk without crutches or a cane/walker. I cringe now when I think of people breaking bones because my moms ankle basically crushed underneath her whole body and her leg/foot became connected. Just on a simple nature walk! It can happen to anybody and I don’t wish it on anyone.
