I love river...he's one of my inspirations. I'm an aspiring actress and his talent really was the thing that made me want to try acting. Whenever I think of his death it makes me so sad.
Heath Ledger will certainly be forever young and beautiful. i love him and met him once at a premier and he stoped and talked to all his fans he was the sweetest person. I still cant believe he is dead. R.I.P. Heathcliff Andrew Ledger 28 Is way too young
Rest In Peace Corey Haim and River Pheonix, two childhood stars that'll forever be apart of my childhood. And Rest In Peace Jimi, Janice, Jim Morrison, 2Pac and Biggie, music legends.
Brandon and River were my generation, it was a COMPLETE shock. Much like Heath, you just stood there dumb founded. I'm sure it was that way for the other generations also.
Yea, when we lost River, we lost our best new young actor. Nobody came (or comes) close to his emotional rawness and integrity. He was truly the next James Dean.
Glad to see Jon Erik Hexum was on the list since most people do not remember him...I cried when he passed away....So many people on this list who should still be with us....a terrible loss for all.
Dear God, rest in peace, my angel, my inspiration, imperial, ethereal being River. No one can ever compare to you. You embodied beauty itself. I love you.. More than anything.
R.I.P Kurt Cobain. R.I.P Layne Staley. R.I.P Mike Starr. R.I.P Jimi Hendrix. R.I.P Janis Joplin. R.I.P Randy Rhoads... Forever missed and never forgetten.
I would add Melanie Janene Thornton (1967 - 2001). She was an American pop and dance music singer. She was the lead singer of known Eurodance group "La Bouche" from 1994 to 2000. She died in car accident.
On the night of November 24, 2001, Thornton was one of the 24 people who died in the plane crash of Crossair Flight 3597 near Zürich, Switzerland, at the age of 34.
Tony Dapano the problem is not just substance abuse, but also deadly accidents, for example Buddy Holly died from a plane crash, but your statement is true in most cases, especially the '60s counter culture era until now.
I remember hearing about the deaths of River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain like it was yesterday. I can also tell you where I was when I heard about the deaths of Tupac, Aaliyah, and Left Eye. All of the people featured on here were very talented and were taken far too young.
Man I miss all of these people. it's so sad that basically all of them died before age 25 or before age 30 or right at age 30 smh. For Judith and Heather who died at ages 10 and 13, they didn't even get the chance to make it to adult hood smh
River Phoenix was a very good friend who was taken too soon. He and I hung out in Toronto, Ontario. He has "rescued" me from the two Corey's, Haim and Feldmen. They were trying to set me up with higher ups in the biz, but I wasn't going to "put out" as it were. Although Haim was a friend of mine also as with the "Brat pack"! Emilio Estavaz, Charlie Sheen and others plus me were all living in a rented mansion in Toronto! Good Times!
I watched this video the other day because I was surprised to John Brandis had passed away in '03. After I saw this, I was haunted with the images of these forever young celebrities. I know people who died from suicide, or by accident who will also be forever young. John Brandis didn't have to die, suicide is a sad and horrible fate in this world. Rest in paradise, friends, acquaintances, celebrities. Forever young. Gone but not forgotten.
No matter how many people you show here, someone will always find another celebrity who they think should have been included. This is a good selection. Though they led short lives, many will be remembered for many years to come.
