I used to watch koffee with karan to improve my conversation skills 😂 i mean they literally use..to the point, satiric statements and of course sarcastic and offensive statements at times. It is fun undoubtedly. The only thing people should understand that there's no one who hasn't got trolled. I mean what ever you do people would judge you anyways. If you'll give satiric answers you are somewhere rude, if you give neutral answers you are playing safe or might lose the hamper 🤣 and the list goes on. The only thing that is little absurd about this show is that it seems like they (KJ and his teammates) targets certain people intentionally. Otherwise, it's fine, like one time, So, watch it, have fun, don't take things on your heart.

They were replying to questions which were phrased in that way. The actors themselves did not make those statements they simply said a name they associated with it. This was expected of them if they chose to answer. It’s not the actors that are controversial in this scenario but the questions.
