Why does every single part of this ship just look SO pretty? Also, these 'back of the buffet' sections are always my absolute favourite - I find that most people don't use the outdoor section at the back of the buffet, which makes it the perfect space to avoid the crowds! Great to see you're getting good enough weather for ship filming!
We've been pretty lucky so far with the weather just the odd rough day. The ship really is far prettier in real life though Fraser How's it being back on land after your TA on Virgin?
Some great tips. We loved Apex earlier this year. Such a fantastic ship. We'd regularly have lunch from the Mast Grill or from the Spa Cafe on the Magic Carpet and the area at the stern behind the Oceanview Cafe was one of our favourite spots. There's also a set of seats just by Le Grand Bistro that were usually available where you could enjoy what was going on in the Atrium and get great drinks service from the bar staff in Craft Social rather than the Martini Bar which was always very busy.
So is your solarium tip to 'chair hog' and leave your stuff there before someone else? Or is it to send one person there to wait until the rest of your group can join? Because if it is just to leave stuff, that's why there is a problem! People shouldn't leave things in chairs they aren't using. Other than that one...great video!
Hi, thanks for the comment and to clarify it is absolutely not to chair hog. It was to send one person up in advance to get the chairs for (in our case) the two of us as it is such a popular place and if one person takes a bit longer to get sorted first thing you can still get a chairs. This morning for example it was full by 7.20. Celebrity don’t allow you to just bring and place your stuff and leave it unattended for over an hour. We saw them remove someone’s stuff yesterday after they’d not been back for over 90 mins. It then gets taken to guest service to reclaim later. Linzi and Mark

Thank you so much for all the great tips. We will be on Apex next March and I will be in the Solarium by 7 am just like you suggested. The days in the Solarium are just magical for me and I stay in the shade and "read" my book with my eyes closed of course :) I just subscribed and am looking forward to watching more of your videos.

We suspect not quite so quickly. On our port days it was around 8.30 (even with the temperature outside around 24c) at sea days in hotter areas the pool will probably fill up just as quickly too.
Magic carpet was closed during my time on Apex really enjoyed Eden though worth the extra cost something a little different superb service and food. A little tip there are some very comfortable seats with exceptional views of the ocean in the indoor terrace above Eden during the day very quiet and peaceful location away from the madding crowds !!!!
Those seats in Eden are so quiet Dave, you are right, it is such a peaceful place to hang out during the day (although gets a bit busier if the Eden Cafe is open), and we loved it there. Really sorry for the late reply, Linzi & Mark

@@dave847 We pretty much agree Dave. All the stuff we had heard about Eden Cafe led us to believe it was better than Park Cafe on Royal Caribbean, but it wasn't. It wasn't bad, and the service was okay (they always seemed rushed or understaffed) but the food was just so so, even things we had been told were amazing such as the Hawaiian Belly Pork Sliders didn't blow us away. Hopefully will be better when we go on the next Edge class ship. Fingers Crossed. QM2 is such a special ship, you are going to have such a great time, and please let us know how the grill experience is for you, as we have yet to try it. Linzi & Mark
We did have to purchase it yes. The WiFi that you get to use the app onboard doesn’t let you stream. It was the premium WiFi we got. We only bought it for one device though and swapped around devices as we needed to.
Not sure why you can't hear us, the sound seems okay our side and no one else has commented on sound issues. Can't do much about you not liking the tips though 😂 Have a lovely day. Linzi and Mark
