GREAT VIDEO PAUL HIGHGATE IS ONE AMAZING CEMETERY SO PEACEFUL JUST A WONDERFUL PLACE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT ONE DAY MAY THEY ALL FIND PEACE THANKS AGAIN PAUL 🙏🌹
Very interesting. As well as the celebrities resting there, I’m fascinated by the amazing headstones & mausoleums - not now permitted in our newer cemeteries!! Thank you!!👍
Another wonderful video such an atmosphere listening to the birds singing among the graves and such a fantastic view of the cemetery with its overgrown trees and overgrown grass which seems to cover the ground like a blanket keeping the graves looking sometimes mysterious in the silence of the cemetery. Thank you once again for producing such a wonderful video looking forward to many more.
I have noticed that the shield 🛡️ on top of Malcolm McLaren's grave looks exactly the same as the famous Warner Brothers film 🎥 company logo shield. That's all folks. Lol 😂 Oh and great videos dude 😎.
I came across Your video today, I visited Westside a few days ago, and being a rebel, I went inside to see Bob Hoskins grave. I found it funny, that there is a huge plant on front of it, but I now have pictures of the tombstone
I am absolutely enamored with Highgate, and British cemeteries period....I love the natural look, so different from those here in America-manicured to within an inch of their 'lives' lol. Ienjoy your videos, keep it up! Oh, may I make a suggestion? Ever think about doing a video of visiting the graves of Harry Potter actors that have passed? Roger Pack's grave made me think of that. Thanks!
good coverage mate i also watched pauls visit to this cemetary from `unusual things` youtube channel im guessing in part 2 jeremy beadle & ugo ehiogu will feature
I used to play there in the 60s i think i was about 12 years old.no gates or payments to get in then.just walk in.waterloo pk near by.my dad played in the park.brass band.you can see the grave yard from the pk some.
Thanks for the video much appreciated. You go to a lot of trouble for us. Have never been to Highgate but would like to visit, and personally I like the garden look. Lots of places and fauna for wildlife and nature; too manicured is a bit OCD. Devon used to be green and natural, now disappearing under concrete, and pesky incomers are chopping down trees and hedges so they can live they did back home surrounded by concrete and fences.
At one point it was totally overgrown and tree roots were knocking tombstones over so a committee got together called the friends of Highgate took the cemetery over too save it as it had been vandalised alot in the 70s this was also at the hight of the hammer horror films. Lots of satanic practices, witchcraft, desecrated tombs ect. Now it's cleaned up its all stopped... Thank goodness. 😊👍
It is a designated nature reserve. 'The cemetery's grounds are full of trees, shrubbery and wildflowers, most of which have been planted and grown without human influence. The grounds are a haven for birds and small animals such as foxes. '
