LoL . . . you are the first reviewer to mention mention taking down the hangers. Perhaps others have. I have to say, it took me a good 30 minutes to figure out where the sound was coming from on my first cruise 9 months ago. Great tip!

Thanks for doing this vid. I will be on this ship in Feb. 2024 with a friend and we reserved a veranda room on the 8th floor. Was really nice to have a tour of the room in advance. Thanks again.

I'm so glad that these staterooms have the card readers where you hold your card up to the doorknob to unlock the door. I've been on two Norwegian ships that didn't have that and it annoyed the hell out of me. I can't wait to sail on the Silhouette this coming January!

Ahh You'll have to let us know how your cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette is in January! What itinerary are you sailing with them on? Do you have an ocean view or balcony cabin? Enjoy your cruise!!

@@HollyandAndrew The itinerary is Nassau, Key West, and a day at sea. Not sure if that's in order. We don't know what kind of cabin we're getting yet.

Was there a blow dryer in the bathroom that you can take and use out in the room in front of the mirror at the desk? You talked about the ship rocking a lot at, did you notice that to be the case? Were there other U.S. plugs in the room but those two on the desk?

I believe the blow dryer was at the desk but the U.S. plugs we pointed out were the only ones in the room 😱 We found this ship to be very smooth! Rocking largely depends on the itinerary but we found this stateroom to be in a great location to not feel ship movement 😃

Hi. Can you go into detail about the connecting rooms? I don't see an interior door that can connect the cabins as one might see in hotels, so how can they be connected besides removing the partition from the balcony. Thanks!

Hey Sara, sure! Though this room doesn’t have a door Inside the room that connects it with the room next to it, you can sort of “create” a connecting room by linking them in the hall with another door that’s further out from the white doors you can see us knock on in the beginning of the video. It’s a unique way to do it but it works. I’d suggest looking up a deck plan for this ship because it’s difficult to describe, but might make more sense with a floor plan drawn out. Let me know if you need more info! Happy to help out :)

Is there storage under the bed to put your suitcases for longer cruises?

Hi Claire, There's not built storage under the bed but there is space that you can use. If your luggage is flat enough it can fit under the bed (that's where we store ours so it's not in our way when we're in the cabin)

How does a veranda V1 on the 7th floor compare to 9th floor?

Hi! Had a 7th floor balcony cabin on the Silhouette a while back, and it is the exact same as what’s shown in this video. One thing to note about 7th floor is that it’s right above the lifeboats (on 5th floor I believe), which might obstruct your view a little bit, unless your cabin is located at either end of the ship where there aren’t any lifeboats.

The prices depend a lot on the time of year and the itinerary. It's also based on occupancy since all the food and entertainment is included. The best thing to do is check their website because prices are constantly changing and there are usually good discounts or promotions going on.
