THE LONG AWAITED CELESTE VIDEO WOOOO! This was genuinely such an enjoyable watch, I'm glad you're doing these video essays because you're so damn good at them! Your growth within the game is impressive (and is reminding me I still need to replay it soon WHOOPS) and your personal stories related to it are definitely relatable - to answer your question I definitely have my fair share of games that really make me reflect. I'm sure this one is not a surprise to anyone that knows me but Super Mario Galaxy is the first game that comes to mind when I think about my improvement in games. I somewhat recently finally sat down to do a 100% play-through and I saw so much improvement both since the last time I played and even going from Mario's half of the game to Luigi's - I enjoyed it so much that I'm doing it all over again for videos, I love that game for so many reasons. To touch on Celeste specifically, that is a game I never thought I would be able to even complete the base game of going into it, but through trial and error I managed to clear it as well as some B-Sides I believe. Having you there on call also made it easier to keep pushing through. I think at one point I replayed the first level out of curiosity and found that I had a much easier time going through it than when I first started, which may not be the most impressive thing, but to someone like myself that isn't great at challenging games, I was impressed with myself! Celeste definitely also taught me a lot about myself but I think I've gone over that with you already so I won't be repeating all of that in a RU-vid comment section as it's a bit personal LOL but yeah, amazing game all around, definitely need to play it again soon.
