This game... makes me lose my marbles... it probably doesn't help that gamersups is STILL threatening to send a hitman after me... Plz save me gamersupps.gg/windy
Windette I thought based on your content and previous jokes you had adhd so why are you worried about caffeine ceeping you up at night??? Also good sponsor segment
I'm convinced speedrunners found some way to justify doing chapter 5 B side for optimal routing just because we all want to hear the best song in the game
The first 3 minutes felt like I was literally on crack, then we had windy be the calmest he's ever been. Also I saw that at the end windy has agreed to let us give him money I see this as an absolute win.
@@aaronking2020 I literally threw him against the wall and up-dashed like you do with the jellies for moon berry Also this comment is a year old and my love for the game has only grown lmaooo
I kinda love what you said about Chapter 6 and the Badelaine Part Usually you're trying to fly, but when youre doing it bc someone forces you youd rather wanna find ground. Kinda mirrors life, doesnt it? Just like this whole game tbh
I love the skits that you do with the cuts to live action. It adds so much to the video and really helps them stand out. Also they are funny as hell. Joining you and blue in a call and having Blue struggle to breathe from laughter brought me so much joy. Keep up the fantastic work mate, your killing it. Edit: ive rewatched this part 6 times send help
As someone who never really liked speedrunning or watching it..this was really really interesting to listen and watch. Amazing work on getting a really fast time man, you deserve it🧡
fantastic video! really cool to see somebody with a larger following delving into the intricacies of Celeste’s movement and mechanics in a way that’s easily digestible but never oversimplified or technically inaccurate, congratulations on making the top thousand!
Thanks for giving more attention to Celeste speedrunning, it's probably the most fun speedgame I've ever played and there's a reason I've put over 2500 hours into it. Super fun speedrun, very satisfying to pull off, would highly recommend giving this game a shot if it seems like it'd be something you'd enjoy
I love watching celeste speedruns because every single run has a clear skill difference from the last. Great job on the pb! I couldn't imagine that level of skill. I'm still stuck on core B
Honestly, I'd like to see a normal play-though of the B and C-sides. You don't see them around much. I mean, I get that it's because they're hard as nails, but I want to see more of the game.
You'll probably die more seen in times/hour, and certainly more times per room, but total deaths per chapter are pretty comparable between A/B/C sides. My 2 or 3 lowest deaths per chapter are in C-sides, even, because they're so short. (One of my highest death counts is also in C-sides though, specifically the hell that is 3-C.)
It's crazy how only Celeste has really pushed Windette to become this passionate about just getting better, it's wonderful seeing you develop in these videos, and while I may be no amazing speedrunner I can fully understand that drive to get better that Celeste gives you like no other.
another video that proves to me the love that people have for a game, and the genius it takes to find new tactics to improve a route! keep it up mate, and i'm so looking forward for what is next to come!
Wimbdy please you NEED TO PLAY THE STRAWBERRY JAM COLLAB mod- it is the greatest Celeste experience out there, and at your level of speed running you would have a blast.
Wow that's one of the best speed running videos that I have ever seen! The thorough explanation of every step that you made feels incredibly good, as I can finally understand what's going on on the screen! Thanks for the vid Wimdy!
So adding this to my list of Windette videos I can just always put on when I wanna listen to something Absolut crack opening, but it was kind of nice to have a breakdown video of a speedrun. Explained so even a moron (Or just someone who is a little mystified by speedrunning) can even understand it. Getting more than just "Gotta go fast" was super nice, and for me, getting to appreciate all the training and skips even more. It has been a long while since we got any sort of analysis or calm video. Wimdy content is always nice to experience.
I’ve seen the TAS speedruns before, and they’re SO COOL, I love them so much, but in a way they’ll never be as impressive as RTA speedrunners, because those are actual humans actually pulling off those insane moves. Also, fantastic video! Very informative!!! I’ve picked up some things from the quite a few times I’ve watched the TAS speedruns, but you laid everything out really nicely and clearly!
This made me remeber that on a discord server we made a war between americans and europeans to decide who had the rights to hate the french, in the war we had ti do some challenges and there was the celeste speedrun and i trained for it, but i didn't partecipate the battle cuz someone was faster than me, but i loved doing a speedrun of this masterpiece
This video convinced me to try “speedrunning” Celeste. AKA: Ignoring everything you said and casually trying to do everything intended as fast as I can. I’ve tried twice, and got right under 2 hours.
I think the first part of summit is actually meant to be like chapter 6, since it is at the bottom of the mountain. The final part is new. Great video btw!
I get that the gdq commentary or whatever you called it was a gag, but genuinely is my favorite type of commentary. This is definitely going on my rewatch playlist
If anyone is wondering, a corner kick works like this: the spikes im celeste are programed so they can hurt you only from the front side. That means that if you pixel perfectly jump at a corner from the back side, and wall jump off it, you can basically skip the room if thats possible.
Congratulations Windette ! We all know how it feels to finnally reach the goal you fix yourself to do, this incredible satisfaction and the pride of doing it. You deserved it, you trained hard, and you made it to the top 1000. Once again CONGRATULATION !
oh no I'm gonna have to worry about having Wimdy beating my time soon aren't I, that's concerning. Also would love to see you try playing Celeste lockout bingo. I have a feeling your routing would be absolute content
I'll second this, lockout bingo is super fun and definitely helps if you ever want to branch out into other categories like ARB, All Hearts, and the like. Requires a bunch of game knowledge that you probably almost never need aside from it like where the binoculars are, where certain cutscenes are, but I would still recommend you give it a try.
Funny thing about the summits song “The Summit” at 3000 meters it doesn’t restart it a section of the song in its own, sorry if this comment seems like a “um actually” but I felt like pointing it out
Tbh I’m considering maybe starting speed running more getting as fast a time as possible for myself. Mostly cause I feel it might bring new life into games I love.
prelude: _no dashes?_ ch. 1: dash+jump goes weeee ch. 2: jelly diagonals go weeee ch. 3: cycles :( ch. 4: _w i n d e t t e b u t w i t h o u t e t t e_ ch. 5: kevin :) ch. 6: wrince and repeat while oxigen starvation
my personal best when i used to speedrun the game was about 58 minutes (i stopped due to feeling burnt out and i just haven't gotten back into it), and this run makes me feel like an amateur just with all the minor optimizations that i don't have the skill for
Hi everyone ! i'm new to celeste and struggle with having one more keybind for the demo dash, so, I wondered if it wasn't as effective to only use demo dashes or do they change speed etc ? Also, amazing video I loved it !!
