I sailed with Celestyal Cruises on its cruise ship Celestyal Crystal for a weeklong cruise in the Greek Islands.

I'm shocked by how empty Elli beach is... I expected it to be full of Dutch, Germans, Greeks and other European nations since they have free movement now and typically are the most present tourist in the Rhodes Town area every year. I'll be on the Norwegian Jade in August. Excited, but would be a treat to have Elli this quiet, if you haven't saw it pre-covid... it's jam packed.. This is a luxury!

Yes. Most of the islands have been pleasantly lightly crowded. Especially, Mykonos and Santorini, relatively speaking. Have an amazing trip.

I really enjoyed this video. The Islands look spectacular. I noticed that the majority of the people on the Islands seem to be mask free. It seems life in Greece seems like it's back to normal. Was that your experience? My husband and I are booked for a 7 night cruise of the Islands. Just by looking at your videos I can tell that a day in some of these locations is not enough time. We may have to use the cruise as a sampler and then pick our favourite Island and go back for a few days before we head home. Which has been your favourite Island? I can't help but get excited for my trip next year. In Australia we are on a timetable to open boarders by Christmas depending of vaccination numbers.

Thanks for watching. Yes, masks were not really widespread unless in enclosed areas. That is precisely how we treat cruises. As a great way to explore and find spots to come back for more extended stays. I loved Mykonos and Rhodes. I plan to get back for a trip where I stay for a few days on a few islands and use the ferry system to go from one to another. Happy travels!

Each port stop had different times. Mykonos, for example, we stayed until midnight.

We are going on the two week cruise in October. How did you travel while in Santorini? Did you use the KTEL buses or cabs? Have fun!

Have an amazing trip. In Santorini, we had excursions set up through the ship. I have used cabs before, though, and you can do it for a good price to customize your day just as you want away from the crowds.

Are you talking about sailing in Greece? I would think so because that is where Celestyal operates. I would think, overall, the experience on Ponant would be a bit better for immersion.

Amazing! I was supposed to visit Santorini and Rhodes for the first time in 2020 (cruise) but Covid showed up... Plans for a Celestial cruise in 2021 with another vloger (group cruise) were also killed by Covid... Ps Public Toilet signs...not appealing (LOL).

Santorini is easy to get around on your own. But it also depends on what you would like to do.

Mykonos and Santorini are not *the* most popular; they're just the ones best known to North Americans (the North American obsession with Mykonos is a total mystery to Greeks). Crete, Rhodes, Kos, and Corfu, all have bigger much tourism industries (almost entirely Europeans).
