I love the gentleness of her voice & how she caresses a song. And, I loved how she handled forgetting the lyrics. She seemed slightly embarrassed but, didn't lose her composure or get down on herself. She just seems to love singing. And, no mistake can take that joy from her.
Theo Lamp I just noticed I have not been adding comments much lately. I must have commented on this in 2013, I'm sure I watched the entire series and remember her beautiful voice. Of course this year you cannot see the entire video unless you live in Australia.
Celia did well picking delta. She transformed her from a singer to a true performing artist Delta nurtured her and gave Celia confidence. Her record is fabulous by the way.
I'm 59 and I still remember the first time I heard that song. Simon and Garfunkel were great performers on the black and white TV and the radio back then in 66, had just moved to Coos Bay, Oregon. She did a beautiful job even if she stopped or forgot the words. I wish great success and hope she doesn't let them exploit her as they do so many!
Are you going to scarborough fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme Remember me to one who lives there She once was a true love of mine Tell her to make me a cambric shirt (On the side of a hill in a deep forest green) Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme (Tracing of sparrow on snow-crested brown) Without no seams nor needle work (Blankets and bedclothes the child of the mountain) Then she'll be a true love of mine (Sleeps unaware of the clarion call) Tell her to find me an acre of land (On the side of a hill a sprinkling of leaves) Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme (Washes the grave with silvery tears) Between the salt water and the sea strand (A soldier cleans and polishes a gun) Then she'll be a true love of mine (Sleeps unaware of the clarion call) Tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather (War bellows blazing in scarlet battalions) Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme (Generals order their soldiers to kill) And gather it all in a bunch of heather (And to fight for a cause they've long ago forgotten) Then she'll be a true love of mine
I don't know about you guys but a freaking goddess just descended to earth. God, I freaking love this song and I just got chills and goosebumps...its the voice of an angel. I can't stop listening to this!
Her voice is absolutely amazing...truly spectacular! So soothing and comforting as if an angel literally came down from the heavens to bless you and take your pain away. Ricky Martin was right. It's like the angles are talking to you when she starts singing. Her voice is what I imagine you'd hear while entering the gates of heaven...I want to meet this girl. You can tell by her expressions while she's singing that she's been through some heart ache in her life. Possibly a broken heart. I dunno if that's true or not, but u can tell this girl is a totally loving, carrying and compassionate human being and I'd love to meet her!
Thanks to MikeEgypte , I'm introduced to this angelic voice. It's not every day I hear an artist sing Scarborough fair in this fashion which evoke the atmosphere of the middle earth, as if i would be transport back to the time where this song were composed.
Love Simon and Garfunkel, I did not think that anyone could do this song justice, but she just proved me wrong. This was a beautiful version of this song. Well done, well done. Beautiful and amazing voice.
She has a voice that is absolutely magical, and I felt like I was under a spell the entire time she was singing! She is such a sweet and humble girl, and she is so naturally shy as well. I believe that is one of the reasons she picked Delta, because she was fine when Delta turned and was watching her. When the men turned and watched her with big smiles, then she became distracted and forgot the words. She is so unique and special! There are many people who can sing well, but Celia is the kind of rare and amazing talent that rarely comes along!
Don't usually watch this show but l am a massive music fan, listen to most genres and I stumbled upon this somehow but l am glad l did. That is honestly one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard.
listening to this from saved videos cause I'm out of data space. I feel like a demon privileged to stumble upon an angel singing. the sensation of listening to not watching the performance without watching was unworldly
gosh, even when she says " i'm gonna pick Delta" sounds like an angel calls. Her guitar, clothes, face, voices completely makes me feels I'm going into 60'S in a precious moment
not just her magnificent soothing voice , she's also beautiful with how she carries herself and that infinite dollar voice goes to show God exists .. touching very blessed .
Dont be fooled by her human like appearance, this is a Siren from greek mythology. Evil mermaids who lure unsuspecting sailors and fishermen in with their angelic voice and then drag them to the cold depths of the ocean and devour their flesh.
she is wonderful, sweet and surrely one of the best voices I have heard. Hey guys if you are interested listen Violeta and Areti to the voice in Greece. I am waiting your opinion.
She could hold an entire stadium audience in thrall with that voice. Meaning there would be total 100% awed silence at the pure glory that comes out when she sings. Here is to hoping she comes to Canada so I can hear her voice in person.
